The #1 Way To Get MORE Leads in LESS time

Do you want to know the best way to go to the next level with your business growth and income?

I’m about to show you the #1 way to get more leads that become paid clients, in less time and how you can earn a leveraged income.

First, I want to share with you what happened when I first moved to Sydney.

If you were with me in December 2012, you would have found yourself standing in a queue outside the Sydney Convention Centre, now known as the International Convention Centre.

I’d seen an ad on Facebook advertising Mike Tyson as their headline speaker, marketed as an entrepreneurial event.

I was wearing business attire and there were a whole lot of other business people in the queue also that looked to be 18-year-old dudes who were carrying their boxing gloves.

There were thousands of people there and there was speaker after speaker sharing on real estate and how to trade shares on Forex. By mid-afternoon, Mike Tyson still had not come out and people started to get annoyed and started to leave.

By late afternoon, the convention centre cleared out and there was hardly anyone left. But I stayed because I wanted to learn as much as I could. Two guys came on the stage called Jeffrey Slater and Kane Minkus, who had just been on tour with Tony Robbins.

They said they had a whole presentation planned, but because there were not many people left they were going to do a Q & A session instead.

They asked people to raise their hand if they had a question. My hand just went straight up in the air before I could even think.

Saying Yes to Opportunities

The mic runner ran up to me and I didn’t even have a question. I had trained myself to say yes to opportunities, and my hand went up without having anything to say. When he got to me, I stood up and I told them that I really wanted to be a speaker and I would love to have their advice.

They invited me to come onto the stage. I remember standing on the massive stage and they gave me the mic and asked me to share one piece of advice with the crowd.

Run at Your Fears

Sweating and nervous, I took the mic and said that my one piece of advice is to run at your fears because if you run away from them, they keep chasing you.

I’d recently moved countries from London, back to Auckland and then to Sydney. I had barely any money or friends in this new Country so I knew discomfort pretty well.

But I knew I wanted to be a speaker and I knew that I had to follow my heart and my dreams.

At that moment standing on the stage, I realised that speaking at the Sydney Convention Centre was on my vision board and had been there for eight years prior.

On that day, part of that dream was realised. I know I wasn’t the speaker on the day, but two years later I applied to be a speaker at the International Convention Centre for a fitness convention that I had attended many times.

I didn’t think I was qualified enough and I didn’t think I’d be accepted. But I was! In 2017, I spoke at the International Convention Center, and that was the dream coming true from my vision board.

When I stood up on stage the first time at the Mike Tyson conference, I was nervous, shaking and my face was bright red.  But in 2016, I was actually the speaker and I was calm and confident.

The Mike Tyson conference was the day that I realised I wanted to have a platform. It felt so good, even though it was nerve-wracking and I’m an introvert and struggle with being in the limelight.

I was doing a lot of one-to-one training and coaching at the time. But I realised that if you want to leverage your time and make a big impact, then one-to-one is just not going to cut it.

You cannot make a big impact if you’re only working one by one people.

If you want to leverage your time and speed up the process to grow your business, you need to be able to speak one-to- many.

Waking Up Your Identity

Success starts with waking up our identity.

One of my favourite speakers, Benjamin J Harvey talks about waking up your future belonging. It’s like an identity, where there’s a part of you that ‘wakes up’ and realises who you want to be.

That could be an author, a mother, a spiritual advisor, a teacher,  trainer, or an educator, for example.

In 2013, I was sitting in a visionary leadership conference with John DeMartini and Benjamin J Harvey. Again, my future belonging was awoken, as Ben as he said something that really stood out to me.

He said if you’re willing to get on a platform, (it doesn’t necessarily mean physically standing on a stage), but if you’re willing to do the hard thing that most people are not willing to do – public speaking – you separate yourself from your competition.

People on a Mission Have no Competition

If you’re willing to step out and face your fears of public speaking, and if you’re willing to talk about what you love and share your message with the world, you will stand out from your competition.

I definitely had a massive fear of speaking in public. I didn’t even think that I would be able to speak to a room of 10 people in a group workshop, let alone a massive group.

When Ben Harvey shared the impact that you can make from going from a one-to-one model to a one-to-many model, it awakened something inside of me. Instead of thinking “Who am I to do that?” I started to believe “Why not me?”

Why not me? Why could I not do that?

When Ben asked if there were people who wanted to make that change in their business, I put my hand straight up. I put the $495 deposit down for their ‘Present Like a Pro” course, which cost $5,000 at the time.

I didn’t have the money. I had rent coming up, but I found the money. You always find the money for things that are important.

I’ve well and truly made that money back now – I’ve turned that $5,000 into a six-figure coaching business, doing what I love, using mostly the one-to-many model.

The Power of Presenting

The one-to-many model is the #1 way to get more leads in less time.

Running events is an amazing way to get clients and a great way to improve your credibility, improve your expert status, and to leverage your time.

And now it’s super easy to do it online.

I resisted doing this as a consistent strategy for ages. But when I finally made a decision and take action, it turned my business around. I’ve now run over 100 online events and 100 in-person events and it’s been the one thing that has made the biggest difference in growing my clients.

If you run an online event, you can speak to 50 or 100 people during that time, instead of speaking to people one at a time.

Running events speeds up the time it’s going to take to reach that many people. If you want to accelerate your success, it’s a no-brainer.

The reason many of us have avoided events for so long is because of fear.

It could be fear of what people might think or fear of failure, fear of judgment, fear of being an imposter, or fear of not knowing enough.

When you decide to show up, despite the fear and when you decide to be the kind of person that does a one-to-many model, rather than a one-to-one model, and you provide great value, success is inevitable.

You can really accelerate and explode your business growth.

I’ve had a growth explosion during COVID-19. I was doing mainly in-person workshops, but I pivoted fast and started doing online workshops.

Holding online events means people from other states and countries can attend.

I recently did a Grace Lever online event that 700 women from all over the world attended and it was brilliant.

I also crewed an Authentic Education online presentation course and coaching course, and 79% of the people said they preferred the online environment, which I found fascinating.

Leverage Your Time, Speed Up Results, Get More Leads and Paid Clients

The one-to-many model is the best way to leverage your time, speed up your results, get more leads and paying clients in a short amount of time.

I’m sure you would love to be able to share a message talking about something you love and have lots of people listen to it. It’s a great way to make money when talking about what you love.

If you want to get clients, you can really only do two things: You can write and get people through your written content, or you can speak and get people through your spoken content, whether that be on video or on audio.

You’re not going to build a business if you don’t create content. Business is about people exchanging value to get a return of investment. So many business people are unwilling to face their fears and step up to make content.

It’s a step-by-step process. You need to learn the skill of presenting, learn to talk on Facebook Lives, and learn the skill of creating influential content.

You can’t just show up and ramble your way through an event. There is a formula and a specific structure you need to follow to make sure that people engage and get value from what you’re sharing.

There’s also a structure to getting them to turn up to your event, which is the first hurdle and that’s where you use marketing.

I predominantly teach my clients marketing and sales, both in written content and in presenting at live or online events and workshops.

You’ve also got to be able to keep them engaged and make sure that they are inspired to take action. It’s about inspiring people to be able to go out there and apply what they’ve learned and that takes a specific structure and formula.

If you’re willing to step up and do the one-to-many, you can leverage your time and build your business quickly.

Handling Chaos Well

In the midst of the current world chaos, there is no better time than to talk about strategies for how to handle chaos well.

This week I’m taking a break from the normal business topics, to talk about mindset and how to manage your mind throughout the season that we’re in.

Not everyone knows this but I do a lot of mindset work with people and I’ve been studying the mind for the past two decades and I’m fascinated with the mind, our thoughts, psychology and the brain.

I spend a lot of time researching and contemplating the mind, this is an area that I’m passionate about. The reason I chose business is that I love working with entrepreneurs like yourself, who want to grow their business.

Mindset is key when developing our businesses. Often people bump up against a roadblock, a limiting belief, a negative emotion of fear that holds them back.

It’s not until we work on this area of mindset that we get unstuck, and start flowing and taking action again in our businesses.

So I want to share with you some ways to manage your mind throughout this chaotic time that we’re living through. All of us are feeling the effects of the Coronavirus. A lot of people are feeling fearful, anxious and worried.

If that’s you, I want to give you some ways to think that might be helpful for you, and some mindset tips that you can take away and implement immediately.

These are keys that you can also share with those you influence; your family, your employees, your neighbours and your community.

Understand What You Can Control – The TEAR Model

Firstly, we need to understand the realities of what we can control and what we can’t control.  I teach a model called the TEAR Model to a lot of my coaching clients.

The TEAR Model is a four-step model that shows that circumstances are not the thing that actually drives our feelings, our actions or our results.

T – Thoughts

E – Emotions

A – Actions

R – Results

Circumstances are neutral. The facts about the Coronavirus, the facts about what’s happening are neutral. They are a circumstance. They are the only things we can’t control. We can control the other 4 aspects which is our thoughts, emotions, actions, and results.

If you’re a coach, I recommend it’s so important at the moment to be coaching your clients in managing their thoughts, because we cannot necessarily control the circumstances and the events that are happening. Nor can we control the facts.

We’ve got to be careful with what we view as facts. Make sure that what we are believing is fact and not an assumption of someone around you.

Remember, we cannot control the circumstances, but we can control our thoughts, our emotions, our actions and our results.

It always starts with our thoughts. Our thoughts about a circumstance is going to lead to our emotions. Our emotions that come from those thoughts are going to lead to our actions. Our actions are going to lead to the results we produce.

An example of this is the circumstance with the supermarkets. People’s thoughts are leading them to the emotions of fear, panic, worry and stress. They think they are going to run out of food for their families.

Their thoughts are driving their emotions to overtake common sense and their actions are to panic buy. The result of this is no food or toilet paper left on the shelves.

Another person may walk into the same supermarket but have completely different thoughts, emotions, actions and ultimately results. They may see the empty shelves and think the shops will get restocked, they don’t worry because they know they are cared for.

These people walk in peace and joy, as they know everything will work out for them. You’ve got to separate the facts from the circumstance.

Watch what you put into your soul through your eyes. I call it the eyes gate. And watch what you listen to through your ears (your ears gate).

The media feed us a cocktail of fear. They show what’s happening and the panic and fear grow.  It’s important what you ‘feed’ your eyes and ears at the time. Be protective over them and that of your children (if you have them).

Our social media feeds are called a ‘feed’ for a reason. We’re getting fed constant fear and panic, and that part of our brain is actually getting addicted to it.

The more we are consuming the fear in our feeds, the less that we’re looking at all the beauty in the world. We are overlooking all the love, all the communities rallying together, all the support and all the wonderful things in the world.

3 Don’ts for Managing Chaotic Times

1) Don’t Look to Others to Decide How to Feel

It’s so important that you don’t look to others to decide how you should be feeling.

We need to step up and take leadership, and be great role models.

A lot of people are looking around at people’s eyes and looking at the news and looking at their social feeds to decide how to feel. If someone is panicking, it’s easy to feel like you’ve got to adjust how you feel.

You can almost feel a little bit bad that you’re feeling calm and happy. I feel very calm, and I almost feel tempted to go into guilt for feeling calm and happy!

Use your thoughts to decide how you want to feel.

What feelings do you WANT to feel and what thoughts

Step back and look at this – we are living in a unique moment in history. We are on this journey together as the humans. This is our journey right now and we get to choose how we decide to view it.

How do you want to be known as to how you handled 2020 and what’s going on in the world right now?

We get decide how this time will be remembered in our lives and in the lives of our children.

I choose thoughts that help me stay calm and created and resourceful.

I know that the calmer and happier I am, the more that I can help other people.

It’s important for me to stay calm and to do that, I have to choose the right thoughts.

I have to choose to trust, I have to choose to believe that whatever happens, we will handle it.

2) Don’t Feel Bad for Feeling any Feeling

Please don’t feel bad, guilty or shame for feeling whatever you’re feeling. Whether that’s feeling like you should probably be sad right now, because people are dying, but you don’t feel sad.

If you’re feeling happy and you’re getting on with your life, don’t feel guilt! If you are staying on purpose, and feeling that for you it’s important not getting distracted, that’s the best thing that you can do for the world right now.

Don’t feel bad if you feel scared or if you’ve had to cancel an event. If you’ve got elderly parents and you feel concerned for them. That’s okay.

It’s ok to allow yourself to feel the disappointment, feel concern or feel the hurt. Don’t try to buffer or numb feelings. It’s healthy to sit with your feelings for a while. But you don’t need to stay there.

Be conscious of how others are being impacted by these events and don’t minimise the experience of others. It’s so important though, that we don’t get sucked into depression, anxiety or fear in the midst of this situation.

The leaders that are successful are those that will stay calm. When you’re stressed, you don’t think clearly, you’re not intelligent or smart decisions. As emotion increases, intelligence often decreases.

In this time of uncertainty, it’s good to give your brain certainty.

So stick with routines that keep a level of certainty about your life, like going to the gym or doing workouts and making healthy food. Routines help keep certainty.

3) Don’t Give in to Urges That Don’t Serve You

Resist urges that make you want to drink alcohol, give up your healthy routine or make you want to just stay in bed and not focus on building your business because the world is at a standstill.

Choose things that will benefit you and your business. If it means not looking at the news, then choose not to read or listen to the news. If it’s not helping you, it’s not serving you.

I’m putting my energy into my business into coaching people, focussing around mindset and helping people with their emotions.

3 Do’s for Managing Chaotic Times

1) Focus on Thoughts That Make You Feel Better

Think about what’s going to make you feel better and feel calm. For me, I trust that whatever comes my way I can handle it. I trust that the authorities are doing the best that they can and I trust that I will be provided for.

I know that I have a great community. I know that I can learn from this. I take this as an opportunity to grow.

There’s no point suffering for no reason. There’s no point sitting in anxiety, when you have tools and resources, and people that can help you get out of it.

Sometimes I’ll just stop and sit on my chair and I’ll just write out positive, helpful happy thoughts. It’s not denying the facts. It’s not putting your head in the sand.

You’re looking at the facts and deciding what you want to think and feel about them.

2) Increase Positive Input and Decrease Exposure

How much time, are you spending on your Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn feed? How much negativity are you allowing into your eye and ear gates?

Double down on your positive input. Listen to positive podcasts, positive addresses on Facebook and spend positive time with your friends. Match the amount of negativity you are seeing and hearing, with the equivalent of positive input.

Coaching is one of the best things you can do at the moment, because coaching helps people let out their concerns. It’s like cleaning your house; you can clean out all the mess inside. Clean up your mind and have a listening ear.

Don’t be scared. You’re not going to run out of work. You have so many people that you can help at this time. Please don’t sit back and wait for people to come to you. Reach out and ask people how you can help.

Offer free coaching sessions and help people with managing their minds. As coaches, we help people manage their minds and focus on what they want.

3) Use This Time to Grow Stronger, Be Creative and Innovate

Put on a growth mindset. People with a growth mindset welcome challenges. They think, ‘How am I going to grow? How am I going to learn?’ They believe the world is going to get better.

We need a filter change. If we filter to see only the bad, we will only see the bad. We need to take precautions and we need to be safe.

We need to choose a positivity filter to view life at this time. Choosing a positive filter means you will see this time as an opportunity to grow. You may have to pivot and run those live events as webinars, but look for the opportunities within this time.

This is an opportunity to get stronger, to look at how you can innovate. Be creative. Join together and form stronger communities. Do your best to be part of the solution.

If you’re a business owner and you’re struggling during this time, I’d love to offer you a free coaching session*

Don’t suffer alone. We’re all in this together.

We the humans are amazing, resilient and resourceful.

We will get through this.

5 Essentials of Influential Social Media Content

Creating consistent content is so important in growing your business.

But to attract your ideal clients, it’s not about just posting any content; it’s about posting influential content.

It’s SO important that your content on social media is influential. You can spend so much time in your content, and if it’s not influential, that time can be wasted.

You could have been investing and doing something more important in your business that was actually going to get you a result.

If you post influential content, you’ll be way more likely to help people to move along with the journey towards you, and have them take that step closer to becoming a paying client.

You want to think about what the purpose of your content is, (rather than just posting for posting sake).

You want to ensure your content is really helpful, relevant and influential, meaning you’re helping people to actually take action to change their life, not just to entertain them.

Recently one of my clients said to me; “Kat, I’m thinking I need to post more funny stuff on my Facebook business page, because the funny stuff gets the most likes.”

I’m not sure if you’ve fallen into that trap before, but likes are not the goal. Getting people to take the next step towards you is the goal – the step towards becoming a paid client.

Be careful not to just chase engagement – in terms of likes, but actually encourage a relationship with that person, inspire that person to become someone to change, and to take action for themselves.

Really the test is: Are people coming through your funnel? Are you getting people off social media and onto your website, onto your landing page and onto your online domain?

Ask yourself; ‘What is going to get people over the line?’ ‘What is actually going to make people want to sign up for you?’

People will sign up with you because you inspired them to want to take action. It’s because you educated them on the importance of taking action, of the cost if they don’t take action and why you’re different. Entertaining them is important. I’m not saying don’t post funny stuff. Use funny stuff as a break from your day, but it doesn’t lead to paid clients.

Paid clients purchase premium products that inform, inspire and educate. The purpose of social media is for potential clients to get to know, like and trust you, so they want to take the journey with you.

We need to make influential social media content that brings our clients across the line.

Here are 5 Essentials of Influential Social Media Content:

1) Design the Purpose of Your Post First

Decide prior to commencing your post what the purpose of your post is. Use strategy and intentionality when developing your social media posts. Think through what will lead to bringing money into your bank account.

Remember as a business owner if money is not going into your bank account consistently to cover your lifestyle and bills, you will always be stuck in a job, working for someone else.

If you really want to be an entrepreneur and get money into your bank account from working with people, you’ve got to think about the journey your potential clients will take to get there.

Usually, a future client’s journey starts with interacting with your social media post. That post leads them along the journey to become a paid client.

Be helpful, relevant and have a purpose and reason for your post. Building rapport, connection and trust with your future client is the beginning of their journey with you. A piece of content might be made to overcome a specific objection a client had. It might be to show a little bit more about your story, so they relate to you a little bit more.

It might be to showcase how you can help them by telling an example of a great story that you’ve had with a client, a case study or something that happened to you that week that was an excellent lesson. The lesson should help them to take more action towards you. Be strategic and ensure your posts all have a purpose.

2) Speak Directly to Your Ideal Clients’ Desires and Challenges

A lot of people don’t have goals, but they know what they want. A lot of people have dreams, but they might not even think that they can achieve their dreams. Many people may have goals, but how many are actually realising them?

If you were to ask a person, ‘What do you want?’,  most people know what they want. Ask a person, ‘What are you struggling with?’ and they will be able to articulate their struggles to you.

Speak directly to your ideal client, not broadly as thought talking to friends or family. Speak directly to the person that you want to work with, to your target market or avatar. Speak to their desires. Speak to their challenges. The deeper you go, the better for your potential future client.

It’s not all about demographics. It’s about psychographics. What are their thoughts, their feelings and beliefs? What are they thinking about themselves? What are they thinking about you?

Go deeper. WHY do they need to change? WHY do they want that goal? WHY do they need help with it? Start talking about that. Be really specific about their desires and their challenges.

3) Help Them Overcome Barriers to Action

‘How To’ videos are abounding on the internet. It’s the most searched term on Google. But we’ve got to remember, that it’s not just about people learning, it’s about people doing. It’s about people taking action on what you’re teaching them.

When you’re thinking about your content for your social media, ask yourself; ‘How can I help them overcome their resistance to changing?’ ‘How can I have them overcome their biggest objections to investing in themselves?’

You can address these questions through your social media content. So when you’re thinking about money in your bank account and your potential client becoming your paid client, you must work your way back to this regarding content. What is going to stop them from getting to this point?

And it’s not just about getting a paid client. It’s about transforming someone’s life. It’s about helping them become who they want to be. It’s about helping them out of their pain and helping them get relief.

You’re helping them to avoid, become or create something in their life and to be the person they want to be.

4) Show Them How Else You Can Help Them

Build into your pre-planned strategy, a way to incorporate further development for your future client. Show them how else you can help them. It might look like: Giving them one thing that they could go away and do. One small result so that you’re showing them that you actually have seven. ‘This is one part of my ‘7-step strategy’.

Or it’s one recipe that you’ve got, out of your 50 recipes. Or it’s one technique to overcome a limiting belief, out of all the 50 interventions that you do with people.

You’re not just giving them enough that they feel satisfied. You’re giving them a little taste, so they go, ‘Oh it tastes good’ and they want more. You’re showing them how else you can help them.

You’re not just giving them this false illusion that their problem is solved. We know that no one is going to change their life from one piece of social media content. It’s a layered journey. So build that layering within your strategy document.

People often know what to do but they don’t know how to apply it to them and that’s where you can come in and help. It’s about planting seeds in their mind so they think, ‘Ah, when I need to work on that, I will go to the go-to person’. Planning your strategy is key.

5) Have a Call To Action or Engagement

Your call to action is your next connection and interaction with a future client. It could be, ‘Jump onto the call with me’ or ‘Come to my free webinar’ or ‘Join my five-day challenge’. It could be, ‘Download my freebie’, or ‘Drop a comment or put a yes in the comment box’.

Your call to action is asking your potential client to do something with you and it also works to build engagement. The reason that asking for ‘comments’, ‘likes’ or ‘shares’ works on Facebook, is that Facebook sees these actions, and then pushes your content out to more people in the community.

To recap my 5 tips;
  1. Decide the purpose of your post first
  2. Speak directly to your ideal clients’ desires and challenges
  3. Help them to overcome barriers to action
  4. Show them how else you can help them
  5. Have a call to action or engagement

Applying these 5 tips will help you lead your potential client on a journey towards being a paid client.

3 Game-Changing Thoughts You Can Choose to Believe Right Now

Recently I was listening to my favourite podcast-  The Life Coach School by Brooke Castillo on the way to Port Macquarie, and she has an amazing episode about Thoughts to Believe.

It got me thinking- what are the thoughts that we choose to believe that can be real game-changing thoughts?

We have thousands of thoughts every single day. And some of those thoughts are just the same old thoughts that just go round and round…

…What am I going to eat? What am I going to wear? All of those types of thoughts.

Then we can have these thoughts that I like to call “game-changing thoughts”

Where you actually believe something and you choose to believe it, you choose to think the thought even if part of you may not believe it.

The way I define game-changing thoughts is they change the way you feel, the way you act, and the way you behave, which therefore changes who you are as a person.

Our identity comes from the way that we see ourselves in the thoughts that we think…

…It’s not from our circumstances, It’s not from our childhood or from who other people have told us that we should be.

Our identity comes from our thoughts.

I’m fascinated with thoughts because thoughts shape us thoughts our actions, our feelings, our results, our habits, it all starts with our thinking.

Brooke Castillo always talks about cleaning up your thoughts and doing “thought downloads” to really observe your thoughts as the observer and say…

…Okay, this is what the thoughts are, am I happy with these thoughts? Or do I need to decide new thoughts?

This whole concept of we can be very intentional with our thoughts, as opposed to just letting thoughts just randomly come into our mind.

Believing them just because we thought them doesn’t mean it’s true.

This train of thought taking you in one direction doesn’t mean we have to be victims of that kind of thought.

Even thoughts that we had, many years ago, we decided them when we were five or seven or 10.

Which is when we made a lot of our life-changing decisions about who we are.

We can basically look at those and go- is that thought given me the result that I want? If not, what should I be thinking about?

What is the person who has the result that I want? My future self? What is she thinking about? What is she believing?

Maybe you want to make 100 grand a year in your business. Going into the identity of that business person who makes 100 grand, What does he or she thinking about?

What are the thoughts that he or she has on an everyday basis…

…because what if I start thinking those thoughts now in order to become that person that I’m moving towards In the future.

When it comes to our thought life, we can either randomly let our thoughts come up, we can just go with them, we can indulge them we can just see where they take us.

Or we can be really intentional.

That’s what I call game-changing thoughts.

I have three for you that I choose to believe that have been real game changes in my life.

1. The Future is Better than the Past

I love this thought because it creates so much possibility and so much opportunity, and so much creativity.

If the future is better than the past, then all of the amazing experiences that you’ve already had. All the beautiful memories, everything that you’ve created up to this point, it’s going to get better.

It’s so countercultural. Our culture is always talking about anti-aging and how things are getting worse as we get older, and I don’t believe it.

I feel so much happier now than I did five years ago, even two years ago.

I feel like my life is getting better and better and better. Because every year I get more knowledge, more experience, more wisdom, more skills.

Every year I’m learning and growing more. So it feels like every year my life gets better and better and 2019 has been my favourite year so far.

It’s because of this thought that there was always more, there’s always better that I always thought that coming up to 40 that I was going to be depressed. That I was gonna do something about 40 that felt so old to me.

I felt the same when I came up to 30. I thought 30-year-olds was so old.

I remember that when my sister turned to nine, and I was five, I remember thinking that nine was so old.

think we’re always going to think that the next decade that we turn is so old.

I’ve just embraced the past and I’m so excited about getting old. I’m excited about the wisdom that comes with age, year after year.

That I’m going to have more and more money more and more impact, the more lives changed, the longer I’m alive.

So I say Bring it on, and it’s exciting, and it’s a thought that makes you feel good.

If you want to know if the thought is game-changing or not. Does it make you feel excited or motivated or inspired or passionate, whatever those beautiful positive emotions are?

You know whether your thoughts are spot on based on how you feel. How you feel is a benchmark.

I know it sounds overly simplistic, but I talked to so many people that are feeling rubbish.

They don’t realise that it’s their thinking that’s actually driving that feeling. It’s not that person, It’s not that circumstance, It’s not that situation.

It’s what you choose to say to yourself. It’s what you choose to believe.

2. The Discomfort of Growth is Better than the Discomfort of Staying the Same

When I was a personal trainer I used to say to people all the time.

Choose your hard.

They go, “Oh, it’s so hard doing lunges, It’s so hard during burpees, it’s so hard making a healthy meal and I go “yeah, it can be hard. Absolutely. So can being overweight and so can feeling crap about yourself and so can not fitting into that dress when you’re going to your Christmas party.”

It’s really hard to buy a new wardrobe and it’s really hard to have health issues and gut issues. They’re both hard.

So choose, you don’t have to do anything you want to do.

I know my job as a personal trainer was to push and motivate.

But I said it’s your choice. You told me you want this body you told me you want to feel great.

They’re both hard, but one of them is a really short, growth hard and who would rather growth hard than stagnation hard.

That pain of stagnation, that pain of staying the same and having to grit.

I hate that feeling more than anything. I would rather the feeling of being absolutely exhausted from working really hard than that feeling of being exhausted because you’re just brain dead.

I would rather that tiredness that comes from being alive and on purpose and doing cool stuff in the world any day over the pain of staying the same.

Choose your hard.

For me, it’s doing the plan, doing the hard habits, doing things even when I don’t feel like it.

I’d much rather have the pain that comes with that than the pain that comes with staying the same and staying stuck.

3. Nothing can Happen that I can’t Handle

I love this thought because it’s helped me get through so many things.

I do so many crazy things sometimes. And I think, Wow, why am I doing this?

I did three events in three days last week. They were all brand new events.

I had so much going on in the lead up to them that I had to write theme really close to the event.

I had to write all the PowerPoints and the workbooks and come up with everything.

I’m doing five events in two weeks. I’ve never done five events in two weeks…

…for me, it just felt really hard and I thought it was going to be so hard it actually wasn’t.

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be. I thought I’ve done four events in three days and doing a workshop twice a month is no big deal.

It’s like at the gym when you raise the bar.

I remember when I did my first squat at 100 kilos at triple figures, and I never thought that I could be the kind of person who could squat 100 kilos….

…I just never thought that that would be possible, I found even 50 hard.

But I started doing incremental changes. I just kept putting little plates and little plates and little plates on. And just over time, suddenly I was at 100.

It wasn’t like I tried to make this massive leap.

It was just incremental change by consistently showing up to the gym year after year. And it took a lot of time….

…But that incremental change raises your bar, and then it almost makes everything else seem easy.

I like putting my hand up and saying yes, taking fast action and just saying bring it on.

If someone asked me, and it’s an opportunity, then I’ll often just take it because I’ll figure it out.

Even if it’s super hard. Having this thought of, whatever happens, I’ll handle it means I can bring many bigger projects than I would if I was stuck and I was worrying and feeling anxious and fearful about what might happen.

I don’t really think about what might happen. I just think whatever is going to happen, I’ll handle it.

I see people having a lot of drama and stress over things that maybe I would have a few years ago.

But now I’m solving bigger problems here. I’m doing bigger things than I used to. Those things that used to bother me back then, now I’m just like, bring it on.

I’m a leader if something needs sorting. I’ll handle it.

Having that thought of, whatever happens, I’ll handle it. It just gives me a lot of safety and security.

All we’re trying to avoid is a feeling and if you’re willing to feel any feeling, if you’re willing to experience any emotion you will take on any challenge because the worst that can happen is a feeling.

I put myself in uncomfortable feelings regularly.

Feelings of vulnerability and shame and booking so many events even though I don’t know if people are going to show up.

But I would rather that and feel so alive and so on fire, then stay in comfort because I don’t think I’m going to be able to handle it.

Leaders have this mindset of I’ll handle it, I’ll do it or whatever it takes to do it. So that’s been a game-changing thought for me.

So just to recap:

1- The future is better than the past – game-changer

2- The discomfort of growth is better than the discomfort of staying stuck

3- Nothing can happen that I can’t handle

I encourage you to take on these thoughts if you like them, practice them, give them a go write them down if you like them.

Most people start the year with lots of motivation and drive, but along the way, get distracted or discouraged.

If you resonate with this, you’re not alone because the reality is, most people don’t achieve their resolutions or goals. Let's make 2018 the year that you do!

What you will learn:

1. The 3 underlying principles of alignment

Understand the science behind creating lasting change in your life (and the research behind it), using the power of alignment.

When you have alignment:

· you wake up feeling inspired

· you’re more productive throughout the day

· you feel better about your relationships, health, work and all areas of your life.

2. How to unpack your uniqueness

Many problems in life come from people not deeply understanding themselves.

When was the last time you focused on creating more time to do what is most important to you? For most people, hardly ever! And that’s often why they find making decisions difficult.

After this event, you will walk away with a deeper understanding of yourself and how to apply that knowledge to your daily actions.

Once you’re clearer on your values, you will also learn a powerful values-linking process to make the attainment of any goal more effortless (woohoo!)

3. Rapid Results Strategies

In order to save you time and get what you want faster, I will be sharing with you my 5-step FREED model, with powerful strategies for creating rapid results.

Once you change the way you think and feel, your actions will start to happen more effortlessly!

Come along and learn how to create your best life in a fun and supportive environment.

You never know who you will meet and what life-changing tools you will pick up!

It's going to be a powerful, fun and inspiring night with a chance to WIN prizes, network with other great people and make new connections, mingle over drinks and nibbles - AND...
