4 Essential Keys To Attracting New Clients Consistently

Would you like to know the FASTEST ways to get more followers, more engagement, more trust, and ultimately more paying clients, consistently?

There are 4 powerful methods that I recommend and these are the exact strategies that I personally used to…⠀

* Sell out my programs with my quality clients that I love working with⠀

* Have a steady stream of consistent, ideal clients, without all the stress and confusion and overwhelm

* Grow a 6-figure business as a full-time coach working from home⠀

These are the things that enable you to really move the needle forward in your business, instead of all the little bits and pieces.

Four Things To Attract Clients Consistently:

If you want to have a business where you make 10k or more every single month, there are four main things that I recommend. Only four.

One of the biggest mistakes I see a lot of business owners making when it comes to attracting clients is a lack of focus. A lack of direction and trying to do ALL the things ALL the time, and nothing is really making any type of significant difference to the most important thing in order for us to STAY in business – which is cash flow.

To have a sustainable business, you’ve got to have solid structures set up, so you don’t need to have to rely on a job anymore.

Then you can really trust that your business is providing for you financially, not just covering your expenses, but to have some holidays and lifestyle too, where you can step away from business, and actually have some fun.

I don’t know about you but when I started my business, I would sit at my laptop every morning and before long, I’d have lots and lots of tabs open, and I would be researching, going down rabbit holes, and consuming other people’s content … rather than actually creating my own.

So if you want to stop wasting time on all those things that don’t make a significant difference, it’s time to strip it back to really what works. It gets a whole lot simpler when you focus solely on the things that really matter.

So here are the four things. Get your paper and pen out and get ready to take some notes.

1. Compelling Content

The first thing you need in order to attract clients consistently, you need to have compelling content. You need it. This is not a negotiable thing. Every business who wants to be successful needs to have compelling content.

Compelling content attracts the right people to you. You want people to read your writing and think “I want to work with her, she gets me, she is writing to me, she is speaking my language.”

And it’s really sad people posting content that doesn’t get read because when people post and it doesn’t get read, people think there is something wrong with them.

But nothing is wrong with you. You are amazing. But sometimes the crafting of the language doesn’t hit the mark and the words are raising resistance in people, or actually putting people off.

There are certain phrases we can use to invite people in – really hooky and compelling language, and then there is language that puts up a wall with people. This is what I teach my clients.

80% of your marketing success comes down to your words. How incredible is that! To give all the time we invest in other things in our business when 80% is actually the language we use … and so much of it doesn’t bring the paid in clients.

So much of it doesn’t work to bring in people. So much of your knowledge and expertise in your content is not being seen by people. It’s such a waste.

When you get your content right, when you get your content to be compelling, a whole new world opens up to you, more new opportunities open up for you, it’s like a dog whistle, where you call them in through using the right language.

If you don’t get this in place, your emails don’t get opened, your posts get lost in the newsfeed, and you’re not able to help the people that need it.

It’s pretty heart-breaking, because you have something that can really help people. You have unique brilliance that people need. People are struggling and you have the answers, and the bridge that joins you and your people is your wording.

Crafting compelling content is a skill, there’s a formula to it and you can learn it.

2. Conversion Events

The second key to attract clients consistently is having a conversion event.

The thing that has always gotten me the most clients is running events. There are so many reasons I love events.

Firstly, in order to sign up new clients you need to be able to attract a tribe of people and have them give your time. So, if you’re just sharing content, you’re not getting enough of their attention or time.

When you run events, you get attention on your business so that you can share your message in a way that’s really influential and inspiring.

To run events is the fastest way to attract your ideal clients.

Instead of speaking to one person at a time. If you spoke to 1 person for one hour and you need to do 100 hours, you can speak to 100 people in 100 hours.

But when you run an event, you speak to 100 people in 1 hour. It’s one of the major reasons I love it. I was doing one-on-one for 8 years before I went to 1:many. It means that when you create an event, it becomes an asset.

It’s like a book. Once you do the work, 1000’s of people can benefit from it and once.

The one-to-many model is incredibly leveraged meaning you don’t have to take decades to impact the number of people that you want to find anything that has incredible effects.

Another thing is so many of your competitors aren’t willing to do it, and they are not doing it well, because they don’t know how to do it well.

Most people are petrified of public speaking and when I learned that, I thought, well I am going to run at that.

I had a fear of public speaking as well, but I realised – if I can overcome that, it’s going to be a game-changer. It’s going to open up a whole new world.

And it did. As soon I started running my events, other people invited me to speak at their events, interview me on their podcasts and in their Facebook groups, inviting me to summits … all because you’re positioning changes. It’s a skill. If you can learn it, you can present it to your potential group.

It’s the coolest thing. It really equals freedom. You can go anywhere in the world and make money because you know how to present. Doing it online means you just need a Wi-Fi connection and a laptop and you can make money from anywhere in the world.

The ability to present to a group is not just reserved for people with natural talent. People have said to me “Oh you’re just a natural. I am not a natural at all. I have run over 250 events, it’s just practice. It took me a while to stop being bright read and to stop fumbling my words. It didn’t come naturally, I learned it.

I’m still not obviously not perfect, but you don’t need to be. That’s the best part. You just need to have a willingness to show up and organise your knowledge in a way that’s valuable for people.

I’m sharing my formula in a free event coming up. You can check it out here.

Running an online event allows you to get in front of your ideal clients, get their attention, have them trust you because you’re able to give valuable.

It’s not hard when you follow the formula, you just need a zoom account. It’s one of the cheapest ways to get clients.

The content that I’m sharing at this event took me years of hard work, I put it into a formula and I’m sharing it for free because I want to help as many people with this as possible.

At my event, I show you exactly how to do it, I take you by hand exactly how to do it with my formula and you get a blueprint, so you can launch your own profitable event.

Even if you’ve never done any type of presentation in your life, even if you’re scared of it, I show you how to do it. You just need to organise your knowledge, then show up, stare at a lens and present what you love talking about. It’s super fun! Anyone can do it.

3. Client Attraction Machines

The third key to attract clients consistently is to have a client attraction machine.

If you have lots to do and if you have lots of other things going on in your world, you have got a social life, a family and other things going on and you don’t really want to be glued to your laptop 12 hours a day, the best way to solve that problem is to get clients is to be automated.

You create an automatic system. You build a profitable, scalable asset like a funnel, I call it a client attraction funnel that becomes like a 24/7 sales machine.

So people can sign up with you any time of the day. You have got order forms online, where people can click and buy and you can transact when you’re sleeping or when you’re on your holiday. When you get this your whole business changes.

I used to think that if you set up automation, you don’t always have a beautiful client experience. But that was just a limiting belief.

You can still provide a really valuable client experience – AND be automated. In fact, people want to be buying things or booking on your calendar 24/7.

I have people booking early in the morning when I’m sleeping, or late at night or on a weekend. You don’t want them to call you or text you to go back and forth, you want a way people can be booking in with you.

You also want a way where people can pay you so you have got landing pages.

A funnel is basically a landing page, it’s a web page that you set up. I use click funnels, I love it. It’s one of the best landing page software you can get, it’s super simple to use, it’s elegant and professional and it converts really high.

People put in their name and email and they get an email straight away, they don’t have to wait for you for the next day or two to get back to them.

So it’s a beautiful streamlined process and you can do this while also providing a great experience. The funnel provides a path.

I know some people freak out when they hear the word ‘funnel’ and I did too. I didn’t want to learn all this technology but I have realised it’s actually easy once you learn it.

And when you learn it, you have got the skill for life.

I will be out running and get an idea, and I can get home and create a funnel in just a few hours. I can put up a lead magnet, thank you page, some kind of automation sequence that links to the automation through Email, done in an afternoon.

Eventually, when you have a big team or you have people assisting you, you can delegate things to people – but when you know how to do it yourself, you can do it fast and you can have full control over your business.

If anything goes wrong, you know how to tweak it, it’s crazy when you get this right. It’s one of the most leveraged activities you can do and if you don’t have time to do things manually, it’s perfect for you.

You just need to decide, you’re not going to have this old-school clunky manual business anymore and start taking an automated approach to your business.

It’s incredible because you can generate limitless amount clients from this. You can use that funnel forever, you can put a limitless amount of people through it.

You can run hundreds or thousands of people go through it.

You might be thinking “It sounds like work” and it does require work. But the cool thing about it is, once you’ve done it, you have skill. You can have holidays where you don’t come back to people annoyed at you or have people forgotten about you.

Once I set up the client attraction funnels, I could go to New Zealand regularly, and Port Stephens and Hunter Valley on holiday and people would still book in and I’d still make money consistently. It’s a beautiful thing!

4. Coach And Community

The fourth thing that you need in order to attract clients is a Coach and community.

There’s nothing more valuable in your business than having support. Having support holds us to a higher standard. It holds you actually getting things done.

It’s the one thing in my business that accelerated me faster than anything. Receiving consistent clarity, guidance, and feedback from an expert who has achieved what you want to achieve, who are farther along in the journey.

They can look in your pipeline and say, “this is where the leakages are.  We need to plug that, stop that, tweak that, stop doing that, start doing that”. We all need to have an expert in our business if we want to accelerate our results.

We can’t reach our potential without it.

Like Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google said “Every famous athlete has a coach. One thing people are never good at is seeing things the way other people could see them”.

When you have got an expert looking at your business and saying this is what we need to tweak, it gives you a clear perspective, and ultimately it gives you acceleration.

On my journey as a Coach, I have realised the smartest thing I could do was have someone whose been there done that’ and actually understands my business and can show me how to make it together and get these pieces in place.

I call these fast lane activities.  If you imagine your business like being a road. You can be in the slow lane, middle lane, the fast lane or you can be on the footpath. And a lot of people on the footpath are walking really slow things in the business, doing things like tweaking their logo, or the shade of their colours, or things that don’t really matter.

When you get these fast lane activities in place and you build, what I call fully built bridges… instead of just lots of half-built bridges, where you start something and don’t finish…

When you build these full bridges, yes they take time, but once you have got them in place, you are setting yourself in solid sustainable business.

So, if you want to attract more people who want to invest in your services, if you want to get the answers to your business questions that you’re stuck on and you want to attract clients to you consistently with ease, I’d love to be that mentor for you.

If you know it’s time to start making the impact in the world that you’re here to make and the income you deserve, in my upcoming event I dive deeper into these four strategies, I’ll show you exactly how to do them all.

I dive into the HOW… how you can actually put this into place. I’ll show you:

  • How to create compelling content, all the elements that need to go into it
  • How to create profitable conversion events and the exact steps to do it
  • How to create a client attraction machine, even if you’re not tech-savvy. Anyone can learn it and I show you step-by-step what to do.

Plus you get support directly from me, and with a like-minded, inspiring community.

So if you like to join us, it’s happening on Saturday, May 15th. We’ll be diving deep into what I talked all about tonight so you can attract a steady stream of quality clients and fast-track your business growth. I’d love to see you there!

What I Wish I’d Known When I First Started Out In Business

In business, we all make mistakes. I’ve made hundreds… and some were absolute pearlers.

When I first started out in business 18-years ago, I didn’t have any qualifications, business knowledge, or money. I just had a lot of enthusiasm, drive, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed.

I was much younger, more stubborn, and ignorant back then. I look back and see how much faster I could have propelled my growth if only I knew what I know now.

Making mistakes is normal and it’s one of the ways we learn and grow. But there are some mistakes that are unnecessary and waste precious time, money, and energy.

So I’m going to share with you how to avoid some of the mistakes that can trip you up and fail and what to do instead.

Here are the top 5 things I wish I’d know when I first started out in business…

1 – The Value Of Investing In Coaching and Mentoring

A mistake I made when I started out, was that I didn’t value other people’s input who had been in business longer than me.

If someone asks why I’m successful – it’s hard work, a strong work ethic and dedication etc. but the number 1 reason absolutely comes down to investing in coaching and mentoring.

When I was younger,  I was so stubborn and naive.

I started my first job in insurance when I was 17 as an office junior (earning a whopping $17,000 a year)

I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do, I just wanted freedom when I left high school.

When I was 25, I left my office job when I decided to become a personal trainer. I didn’t know anything about sales or marketing.

I could have seeked help from the experienced personal trainers at the gym I worked at. I could have taken them for coffee to ask for their advice. But I didn’t. Maybe I thought I knew everything. ?

I wish I knew the power of mentorship and coaching back then.

One of my favourite mentors says the fastest way to succeed in business is to attach yourself to a fast-moving vehicle, and do what they’re doing. Stand on the shoulders of giants and don’t try and reinvent the wheel.

Once I realised the power that they bring you, I’ve always had multiple coaches and mentors.

Some people say to just have one mentor or one mentor per year. Everyone’s different, it’s totally dependent on your style, personality, and character. I invest in multiple. I’m coach-greedy.

Without mentoring and coaching, I would not be where I am today.

The CEO of Google has a coach. Every great athlete, ca,tor or actress will have people around them that are supporting them and coaching them. If they need coaching and mentoring, then so do we.

2 – The Value Of Networking

When I started out in business I was so such an introvert.  I hid behind my laptop and my phone. In fact, some people that knew me back 10 to 12 years ago, would say they knew a completely different person.

A lot of people who knew me back then have been telling me lately that they have seen my transformation. Anyone can change. Even if you are an introvert, you can get out there and network. I never used to network, in fact, I hated it.

When I moved from New Zealand to London, I realised that I desperately needed to improve my communication skills and my confidence, so I read books on the plane. I bought books on how to become confident. And I learned one very important thing. I learned that you don’t get confident from reading books.

You become confident by getting out there and confronting your fears. Confidence is a by-product of being competent.

When you’re facing the fears of things that challenge you, you’re moving to your next level and outside of your comfort zone. When you do that, confidence comes like a gift and a reward for doing hard things.

Networking for a lot of you is not easy, and you feel like you’re not good at it. I network a lot and some people are really bad at it! They are not present, not listening, and not hearing what you have to say. They are half distracted.

You only get good at networking by doing it. When I started networking, I would hang around the food table because it was my comfort. It was like a blanket. Now, I try and meet as many people as I can.

I don’t give out business cards. That’s one mistake people make. I was at an event recently and I went home with a stack of business cards. I don’t have business cards and haven’t had them for eight years. I don’t have them because I like making contact with the other person.

When I was a personal trainer, I handed out hundreds and hundreds of business cards. Let’s be honest, most business cards end up in the bin. I only keep people’s business cards if I make a connection with the person.

If you’re not putting yourself out there, and networking, now is the time to do it. Because of the pandemic, people are now getting out and the energy is amazing. I can feel my energy has shifted so much since I started going to more live events.

Have a look at Meetup.com or Eventbrite as there are a bunch of events happening. Challenge yourself to get out there and network. The only way you get better is by doing it.

3 – The Value Of Investing

My third mistake was not realising the value of investing in my business. I used to try and hold on to money, whereas I’ve come to the point where I invest, because that’s the way to grow.

I invest in 3 main things – marketing, coaching and education.

You don’t get wealthy by saving money.  You get wealthy by getting your money working for you. And so, I love investing money into marketing, like Facebook ads.

I also love putting money into education. I’ve spent over $130,000 on education, not on formal education, but through learning specific skills.

Back when I started in business, I wish I had known the value of investing in marketing, sales copywriting, and coaching skills. I never used to think of copywriting as an essential business skill. I just thought I could put up a post and people were going to sign up.

Copywriting is one of the most undervalued, underrated skills, but being able to write well is one of the most important skills.

Knowing how to craft your language in a way that is compelling and attracts your right clients is a skill and it’s one that is worth investing in.

In the past, I’ve printed off flyers but now I mostly do all my marketing online because it enables you to track and see the ROI on your marketing dollar and investment.

If you’re starting out in business or you are struggling in business, you always need to be investing.

4 – The Value Of Daily Income Generating Activities

All of us do low-value tasks. We are human. Our brain is wired to take the path of least resistance.

Our brain is wired to keep us safe, so it doesn’t easily accept change. We naturally want to follow the path of least resistance. It’s really natural for us to do the easy things.

You know you need to go to the gym, but you stay watching Netflix. It’s normal so please don’t beat yourself up. This is not about making you feel guilty.

I do want to challenge you and encourage you to spend a good proportion of your time on income-generating activities. Ideally, do them every morning.

Instead of waking up and consuming on social media, create something. Delete apps off your phone if you need to. I have recently deleted the email app off my phone so I don’t waste time on it.

One of the easiest ways to change a habit is to just remove it. I always taught my clients this when I was a weight loss coach. At the time I was helping people change their habits. I would tell them that they needed to remove everything unhealthy from their house, so they didn’t get tempted.

If you’ve got a problem with sugar, don’t put things with sugar into your shopping trolley. Make up healthy packs of veggies or nuts and keep them in your bag. Don’t end up buying crappy food because you’ve gotten stuck out somewhere without being prepared.

It’s the same thing with business. Remove all things that take you away from income-generating activities. Are you tracking your sales conversion rates?  Are you showing up and giving value rather than just consuming?

Entrepreneurs show up and give value and help others solve problems. Entrepreneurs do income-generating activities.

I wish I knew that earlier because I spent way too long faffing about making my PowerPoint slides look amazing.

5 -The Value Of Fast Decision Making

Do you fall into the trap of perfectionism?

None of us wants to make mistakes in our work. We don’t want to fail.

But overcoming perfectionism is not about doing rushed or sloppy work. There’s a difference between perfectionism and excellence.

Striving for excellence shows you have a good work ethic and strength of character.

Perfectionism is the enemy of progress. And the reality is, nothing is ever perfect. ⠀⠀

Getting something out there, (even if it’s not ‘just right’) is better than it sitting on your laptop or in your head, not helping anyone.⠀ ⠀⠀

I’ve never done a Facebook Live or webinar or an event and been 100% happy with how it’s gone. There are always things to improve.

If we want to grow as entrepreneurs, we need to value speed. Perfectionism can be a handbrake on our success. It keeps us from accelerating. We don’t have time to be afraid of mistakes.

As one of my mentors says, get it out there ‘quick and dirty’ and learn from it.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of delaying our decisions and let things pile up. Then we get overwhelmed by how much we need to do.

I was challenged in an event recently to write down 5 decisions we’ve been putting off, and decide when we’re going to do it.

I calculated that if I live until the average age, I have approximately 2000 weeks left of my life. Only 2000 weeks! I plan on living longer than this, but none of us are promised a set amount of time. So I don’t want to waste a second of the time I have left on the planet.

What have you been putting off? I invite you to write down one thing NOW and make a decision on when you’re going to do it.

Checklist of Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Actions to Grow Your Business

Do you ever find that you can wake up in the morning, open your laptop, and not know where to start?

Do you get caught up in consuming things like emails and Facebook, rather than creating and taking more planned, productive actions?

If we don’t have a plan for taking intentional, purposeful action, then we can do a bunch of things and not achieve a lot!

I’m so excited to share with you some really handy action steps that you can take to grow your business.

This is a step-by-step guide of exactly what you need to do to get more clients if you’re a service-based business owner, a coach consultant, a practitioner or any kind of service professional.

I’m going to give you some suggestions of things that you can do daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly, no matter where you’re at in your business.

You can download the checklist with all the actions here

Daily Actions

These are important daily actions that I recommend you do every single day before you do anything else, including emails.

I recommend that you set your intention for the day and then plan your day.

Your intention might be to stay focused. Be proactive and clear about this intention and write it down on a card and stick it to your laptop or on your desk so you can see it!

1. Plan Your Day

I usually take about 10 minutes to plan my day because I do a weekly review and a plan on a Sunday or Monday. I grab my old-school exercise book, then I go to my master To-Do list on my spreadsheet, and choose the most crucial action points for that day.

Always start with being intentional and that way you are not reacting to life. You are in control of your business, your life and you are the one that’s driving your business.

There’s no excuses,  no blame,  just you in control, taking the lead and setting the tone for your day to be really productive. Being intentional helps prevent you from getting caught chasing rabbits down holes!

2. Respond to Social Media Comments, Messages and Analyse Advert Data

The next thing I do is respond to any comments or messages on social media so I’m not getting caught up on social media throughout the day. I set a timer so I don’t get stuck on my socials.

In this time you can check your Facebook ads and analyse the data.  If you are running Facebook ads, you want to be in there analysing the data. You don’t want to be just leaking out money on Facebook or on your other social adverts.

If you’re doing some split testing of ads A and B, you want to be on top of that daily, especially if you’ve got an event coming up.

3. Post on Your Socials Daily

Try to post on your social media business page daily if you have time. You can use the same exact post, image and content because you’re directing it to your social media plan.

I use Buffer for this, which is scheduling software.  Buffer helps you push your posts out looking cleaner.  It’s a lot more time-efficient and you can go in later and add hashtags.

You don’t want to change your posts for every single platform unless you’ve got all the time in the world.

Weekly Actions

Set your intentions for the week and plan your week. Some people do this on a Friday so that they can go into Monday knowing exactly what they’re doing. Some of you might want to do it on a Sunday night or Monday morning.

1. Update Your Online Calendar

Make sure that you have all of your priorities listed out however you’d like to do it. Then, what I recommend is you have an online calendar like Calendly and block out your dates and times for the week.

I do this at the beginning and end of the week to ensure it’s up to date and refreshed.

Every week you want to ensure you are inviting people to like your business page, so if you’re adding new friends, make sure you have a system for inviting them to like your page.

You also want to quickly invite people to like your business page and if you have a Facebook group, every week make sure you’re inviting new people to that weekly.

If you don’t schedule it and its not part of your system then it can get left behind.

2. Write a Blog Post

I recommend that you write a blog post every week.  I do this by getting my assistant to transcribe my video into the blog you see on my website. She downloads the video from Facebook, transcribes it and uploads it to YouTube. She takes care of my waffle!

You might want to do that as a system: Do your FB live, write your blog, then send it out in an email to your community. Your people deserve to hear from you, every single week you’ve got so much knowledge.

Make sure that you’re showing up and serving them.  Send an email at least once a week.  Making a system helps you connect with new and potential clients.

3. Reconcile Your Accounts and Do a Weekly Review

I do this every Friday. I’ll go through and reconcile my accounts and look at my income and expenses, every single week.

The other thing I do every Friday is a weekly review. I’ll sit down and I’ll write out my wins and my learnings in my reflections.

If you don’t track information and mark your progress, you won’t feel that feeling of satisfaction when you achieve your goals, which is incredible. And you won’t really analyse and reflect on what you could have done better.

So I literally just do a massive brain dump on a Word document every Friday and it just keeps me on track. If you have a community, you can ask them to do it with you as well.

In my private Inner Circle Facebook Group community, I always get them to post their actions on a Monday, and then on a Friday I get them to post their wins, their reflections their learnings and we all celebrate.

We need to celebrate our successes and it’s really nice to do it together as businesses.

Monthly Actions

I recommend that you have a system that you revisit your website and refresh it monthly, updating any wording or images to keep it fresh.

You might need to update events that you’ve got coming up, depending on how many you do. I tend to do a meet-up every month when we’re not in isolation.

I do a webinar about once a month. If you do 12 webinars a year then you are consistently bringing in new leads to your business. All the people that register and don’t go end up on your email list.

Webinars are an amazing asset to have in your business, and they’re working so well at the moment. Once we get back out there into the marketplace and actually seeing each other in person, then I recommend a meetup event where you are showing up as the expert, the educator and the authority.

Quarterly Actions

If you don’t have quarterly goals, I recommend that you consider creating and aiming to hit quarterly goals so you know exactly what you’re working on for the following three months.

if you block out your year into the three-month blocks you can work out how many quotes you need, how many webinars, conversations and discovery session to fill your quota.

Each quarter I go away and do my quarterly review. I actually book a place at the end of March, June, September and then have the big one at the end of the year.

I do all my planning in this time for the following quarter. I set my goals and I’ve got my vision board. I set my habits, targets and reflect on the past quarter.

You might want to revisit your business vision and mission and values during this time.  It’s always good to sit back and work on your business, rather than in your business. This helps you to take a step back and take a strategic look at your business.

You also want to plan some events, launches and workshop days for the following quarter. Every quarter I do a free workshop. Free workshops are a lead magnet that I get to meet new people and bring them into my business.

I also recommend that you create a new freebie as a new lead magnet every quarter.

Want to know exactly HOW to do these actions, so you can get new paying clients fast?

I’m running a FREE workshop THIS Saturday, 23rd of May ‘Attract New Clients With Ease’.

This workshop is exclusively for service-based entrepreneurs, running their own small business.

During this workshop we’re going to cover step by step, exactly how to attract new paying clients who are willing to pay you what you’re worth.

You’ll learn how to create an effective online strategy, great content that connects with your ideal client and a streamlined automation system.

You will discover my proven 5-Step Client Attraction Formula – it’s a step-by-step process of everything you need to attract new clients. It’s been tried and tested and it works.

You’ll walk away with a clear, step-by-step marketing roadmap that takes away all the guesswork.

There’s no catch, no hype, just valuable content and action-taking. These online workshops are quite small, because I do limit the amount of people that I allow to register.

So, are you ready to start attracting your ideal paying clients?

3 Things You Need To Know To Stop Being Stuck In Your Business

Are you feeling stuck in your business?

Do you find you’re not moving forward in terms of your growth, revenue or profit?

Perhaps you’re struggling to get more clients.

Or you find yourself procrastinating on those things you’re meant to be doing.

Maybe you’re doing what I call ‘building bridges’…

this is where we start doing something, it gets too hard, so we stop and then start working on something else?

Have you started writing a book, blog, creating a podcast or social media schedule, but hit roadblocks and not finish the tasks you started?

This week, I’ve been working with my client Hilary on her business, in a marathon strategy coaching session of 16 hours over 2.5 days.

We locked ourselves away in a boardroom with no distractions, put the blinkers on and got stuck in and progressing in her business.

We did loads of visioning, planning, strategising, and getting clarity on her identity, goals, ideal week, brand, systems, and marketing.

We got SO MUCH done. In her words “We moved mountains”.

This is the power of focus and having expert eyes on your business to get clarity and direction can lead to transformation and breakthroughs SUPER fast.

It was incredibly powerful, and I’m so looking forward to offering more of these VIP 1-on-1 sessions with more people.

It made me realise… the things she didn’t know clearly – the things that were keeping her stuck are the 3 things that most entrepreneurs need to know.

Here are the 3 things that most entrepreneurs need to know, to become move forward in their business:

1) Know Your Identity

The first key is you need to know your identity.

You may think, ‘But Kat, I know who I am!’

I know you probably have worked on yourself and have a pretty good awareness about who you are.

But you can be in business for many years and still not have crystal clarity on your identity.  This is what was happening with Hilary.

The reason she came to see me and booked out a solid period of time is that she had been running different Facebook groups and Facebook pages. She had a number of different websites, created different kinds of freebies including e-books.

She had so much going on that she felt confused and lacking clarity. What we isolated is that she wasn’t clear on her identity.

She was trying to position herself alongside her partner’s business and she is also a mum. She is a great partner, mother and friend, but she hadn’t found her business persona.

After spending some quality time together, we discovered she had promoted herself with a corporate, professional look, but her personality is all about fun! She was actually sending mixed messages out to the market place.

Knowing your identity and where you fit in the marketplace is essential for your brand positioning. Your identity includes your branding, colours and tonality.

Not knowing your marketplace positioning and identity can leave you chasing in many different directions.

You have to know who your ideal clients are so that you can speak directly to them. Who is your ideal target market? What is your micro-niche? Who do you want to be known as?

When you have specified these things, you then put out content and create videos that target your ideal client.

A lot of business owners are very self-aware. They’ve done a lot of personal development and work on themselves. But they have not done the same development to discover their business identity.

I am very targeted and specific in reaching my target market. I speak primarily on the topic of influence in business.

Under the umbrella of influence, I speak on topics that include sales, marketing, copywriting + content creation, presenting and mindset.

If your business is having an identity crisis (or just needs a refresh) and does not have a clear identity that you are sending out to the marketplace, then your first step to getting unstuck is to determine your business identity.

2) Know Your Values

Knowing your values is incredibly important.

You most likely have done work on these in the past, but have you refreshed them recently? Have you sat down and asked yourself, ‘What is most important to me?’

Our values change over time. What you saw as a top value 5 years ago, may not be your top value or priority now.  For example:  If you are a first-time mum now, then you weren’t a mum 5 years ago.

Therefore, the values that you hold now being a mother are different. Prior to having a child, you may have valued successful corporate achievement, but now you are a new mum, you’ve got a new value that takes precedent over the old value.

Another example is:  5 years ago you may have been focussed on fun and partying. Naturally, as humans, we evolve. You may have had a values shift and now you prioritise your health and diet over fun and partying.

Ask yourself the question like:

‘What is most important to me in life?’

The write a list. It could include things like health, spirituality, faith, exercise, love, connection, achievement, creativity, freedom, adventure etc.

Then rank your list in the order of importance to you.

One of my values is freedom. I have freedom because I don’t have a job, I’m not tied down or committed to anything except what I choose to prioritise. The value of freedom is outworked in my lifestyle, in my diary, in my calendar and in my home.

How much time do you spend on the things you value in the top 5 of your values list?

If you only spend a little bit of time, then perhaps your value for that element is lower than you thought.

Another value that I hold is the value of achievement. If you’ve got certificates and accolades, then maybe achievements and successes are highly valued by you.

Getting clear your values can be a game-changer.

This week with my client, we got out large pieces of paper and we got creative. We started strategising and writing out her vision and values.

One of her primary values was fun and bringing happiness.  We spent time working on how to make her business give her more of her highest values. This way I know that she’ll follow-through.

3) Know Your Strategy

Knowing your strategy is key to being successful in business.

You’ve got to have a strategy because otherwise, you’re going to be caught up in distractions and what I call, ‘the shiny object syndrome’.

Defining your strategy helps you be intentional.

You need an overarching strategy for what you’re doing in your business this quarter. Then this overarching strategy is broken down into milestones and clear action steps that you can take.

Using your discipline and willpower helps you overcome shiny distractions. Using a clear strategy helps you remain focussed and intentional.

If you and I were to set a strategy for March, I would ask you, ‘What are your three action steps for this week?’ ‘What are your action steps for tomorrow?’

Having a strategy is like utilising a roadmap. You have your steps clearly defined and know exactly where you are going.

For Hilary, we spent time building a month-by-month strategy for this year. Now she knows precisely the action steps she needs to obtain her goals.

You do the same strategy steps to determine your lead generation strategy, your marketing strategy and your sales process strategy.

Every part of your business needs a strategy. Clearly defined strategies help clear your brain, opening space in your brain to be creative and solution-focused.

How To Go From Slow To Supercharged In Your Business

Are things going slow in your business?

Do you feel like you’re working hard but not getting the results you want?
Throughout many years of growing my coaching business, I spent a lot of time making a lot of mistakes.
I was doing the slow things. And my business wasn’t growing.
And I see a lot of people making mistakes that are also slowing them down.

I recognise them immediately because they’re the same mistakes I made when I was first starting out.

If you’re not currently making a healthy profit in your business (like having 5 figure months) in a way that FEELS GOOD…

And doesn’t take up all your available free time…

More than likely, it’s because you’re making at least one of these common mistakes.

Here’s the good news: In my latest article and video, I tell you exactly WHAT to do INSTEAD!

It will take you from feeling like you’re pushing a bike up the hill… to racing ahead in a fast car.

But before I dive into that, I want to share with you what sets successful entrepreneurs apart.

There are specific things that successful entrepreneurs do that unsuccessful entrepreneurs don’t do.

3 things that set successful entrepreneurs apart

1. Successful entrepreneurs go to places that their competitors aren’t willing to go.

If you can go to the places that your competitors aren’t willing to go, you are going to have no competitors.

Ask yourself – what is my competition not willing to do?

There are massive opportunities for you if you choose the road less travelled.

Doing things like webinars and workshops – not many people are doing them really well.

The number one fear, according to a Harvard study of over 2,000 people is public speaking.

When I heard that stat, I thought “I don’t know how to speak on stage. I’m an introvert, I’m shy, I’m going to go red”

But I’m competitive and I don’t want to be scared of anything. I hate being scared of things. I choose to run at my fears.

When I’ve heard that most people are scared to public speak, I thought I’m going to learn it. I’m going to go to professional speaker training.

So I spent about 20 grand on speaker training and it’s absolutely changed my business. I love it. And I overcame the fear.

I hated people looking at me.

I was known in my family as the person who hated people looking at me. There was even a family joke because I’d always say “Don’t look at me”.

It’s not that you’ve got to be an extrovert. You don’t need to be an entertainer. It’s none of that. In fact, if you’re an introvert, you can do great, about 70% of speakers are introverts.

It’s not about personality, it’s not about how confident you are. It’s about how willing you are to learn the skill. It’s a skill that’s learnable, like any other skill.

The mindset of a successful entrepreneur is to go where your competitors aren’t willing to go.

2. Successful entrepreneurs know that the hard road gets easy and the easy road gets hard

Successful entrepreneurs know that the hard road gets easy… and the easy road gets hard.

It’s hard to do the things that other people aren’t willing to do.

Do you know what everyone wants?

To do the easy things.

The things that don’t require a lot of effort – the get-rich-quick things.

That’s what the majority of people want to do.

But if you are willing to work hard and do the work upfront, your life gets easier and easier.

I’m not going to lie to you and say it’s easy… it’s not. It’s simple, but it does require work.

For example, to set up a funnel takes work.

To learn the technology takes work.

To learn how to write copywriting takes work.

To know how to fill a workshop with people takes work.

But once you’ve done that work, everything gets easier.

Since doing the work, I can now go on holiday at least every three months – full holidays without my laptop.

I never used to go on holidays without my laptop until I set up automation systems.

If you’re prepared to work hard at the beginning, your business will get easier and easier.

It will allow you to have the lifestyle that you want.

Pay now and play later…

Or play now and pay later.

It’s your choice.

3. Successful entrepreneurs have an attitude of action

They do whatever it takes.

Entrepreneurship is different to a nine to five job, where you can show up, do your job, and you’ll get a pay-check at the end of it.

When you work for yourself, you have to do whatever it takes. You have to push through.

You can’t give up on Clickfunnels, or Mailchimp or WordPress or any of the things that you don’t understand.

You may outsource them in time, but it really helps to have a basic understanding first.
Successful entrepreneurs persevere.

I wasn’t techy, I was a personal trainer for 10 years. I was doing hands-on physical work, I wasn’t a ‘behind the laptop’ person.

But I wanted to have control in my business. I didn’t want to rely on other people.

I had to learn how to do the techy stuff.

And now learning the tech has allowed me to have a profitable business that aligns with my lifestyle.

With an attitude of action, if you do the work, I promise you it’s worth it.

If you have an attitude of action, you can switch from manual to automated.

You can automate so much of your business, so you don’t have to be running a clunky old school business.

It’s not 2001 anymore. You don’t have to do that.

By the way – you CAN switch to automated AND you can still give an exceptional client experience.

When you’ve got systems in place, you’ve got a scalable, saleable, profitable asset.
Here are some examples of going from slow to super-charged:

1. The slow way: Posting just general posts to your social media

A lot of people post general motivation, tips about a range of different topics, selfies that add very little value, what they had for lunch, or they share other people’s stuff.
Think about it like this…

If you’re trying to speak to everyone, and you’re not speaking directly to your ideal clients, they probably won’t find you or be helped by you.

The more that your content helps your ideal clients to understand and overcome their pain-points, the more likely they will want to work with you.

People want to work with masters of their craft – people who have honed their skills in a specific area.

The super-charged way: Posting specific, educational content that helps your ideal client with their problems.

It’s about actually teaching your ideal client what they need to be doing and helping them.

Essentially, your content needs to have a purpose. It’s not about posting content for content’s sake.

You need to content to help people overcome their limiting beliefs, and objections to investing in your services.

2. The slow way: Relying purely on online marketing to get clients

Your market is CRAVING an in-person connection with someone who gets them.Doing ONLY online marketing is an easy, comfortable way to do business.

But it rarely works for the majority of Coaches and Service-based Business Owners.

People want to buy from a human being they know can help them—not with random pages on the internet.

If you’ve got a great message to share, one of the best ways to do it is to run your own workshops.

The super-charged way: Adding offline strategies, such as running your own events

If you’ve got a great message to share, one of the best ways to get clients is to run your own events.

There was a Facebook post that I posted a while back asking “Do you have a great message to share that would really inspire women?”

And so many people responded to it. All of these people do have a great message to share, so really, they could be running their own events.

That’s how you take control of your business and not just wait for other people to open doors for you.

3. The slow way – Sending people only to your website or your social media handles

When you only send people to your website or social media handles, there are many distractions.

People can get caught up reading articles and watching videos, rather than opting in to your email list.

The most important asset that you have in your business is an email list – a database.

The super-charged way: Create a client attraction funnel
When you create a client attraction funnel, you take people from social media and onto your database.
A client attraction funnel is where you have a freebie or lead magnet, such as a cheatsheet, guide, video, or webinar that you offer to people in exchange for their email address.

You set up the freebie on a landing page and then create a follow-on email nurture sequence that people go to that leads them to your paid offer.

When you send them to a specific landing page with a freebie for them, and they opt-in, they are more likely to become a client.

Landing pages convert 4-10x higher than a website.

Also, on social media, you can’t control what people see in the newsfeed.
So you want to get off people social media and onto your own email database.

You gather people’s details and send them useful, valuable content. I use MailChimp for this.
I sent an email out on a Saturday night recently at about six o’clock and within 40 minutes, 270 people had opened that email.

Can you imagine posting on Facebook and having 270 people look at it in 40 minutes – without paying for an ad?
It wouldn’t happen.

A great way to do get people’s email addresses is by teaching cool things on Facebook live videos.

Facebook is pushing out live videos into the news feed a lot more than posts.

And then at the end of the video, say something like – Hey, if you want a cheat sheet of this or you want my checklist (or want to come to my workshop, or join me on an upcoming Webinar), I’ll pop the details and the link into the comments.

You don’t want to just put posts up on social media.

You want to have a free offer that you can give to people.

You can also do this through personal relationships with people and inviting people to things personally who are engaging with your posts in your comments.

So, if you honestly look at the way you’re running your business right now…

Do you see yourself making any of these mistakes?

I’ve been there.
