How To Get Found Online By Aligned Clients

Want to know how to consistently get your dream clients in your coaching biz?

I understand that online marketing can sometimes feel confusing. You can’t always tell what’s going wrong, what adjustments to make, or where to apply your time and effort.

In the online marketing world, there are loads of contradictions and controversy about what to do. The end result is coaches running around in circles with too much to focus on… and too much useless information they’ve seen from a bunch of places online.

Here’s where I take a different approach. My intention is to always keep things simple and focused.

I’ve created a 5-step process to get found online by aligned clients so you can solve the biggest problems that are keeping you from attracting your ideal clients consistently.

In this video, I share…

  • How to get found online by the right-fit people
  • How to use ‘Elegant Influence’ to inspire people, and not in a salesy way
  • Characteristics of aligned clients to look out for
  • How to become the guide in your client’s ‘hero journey’
  • 5 action steps to take to get found online by your aligned clients

Here are some of the highlights of what I shared…

#1: Tidy your home – Makeover Your Facebook Personal Profile

You want your Facebook page to be inviting and clear, because you want visitors to know what your business is all about when they come to you.

So it’s important to tidy up your home online.

How do you do that?

1. Have a great cover photo

Show your credibility & personality

Ideally use a professional photo

Include and a clear, concise, compelling statement.

2. Utilise your introduction as a mini-bio

You have about 100 characters so use them wisely. Creatively include who you help and what you help them do.

Use a short link and direct them to your Facebook group or website.

3. Include your business page as your current workplace

I recommend using the words ‘Owner and Founder at [name of business page].

4. Utilise the links in the introduction

Use ’edit profile’ to create relevant links e.g. your website, Facebook group, and landing page to book a call or download your freebie.

5. Only include relevant information

Include only what your ideal client needs to know. This doesn’t include your school, hometown, college, or previous workplaces.

Facebook Business Page Tips

Include:

1. A great username

2. Have a professional cover photo

3. Put key details in the ‘About’ section – include URL

4. Choose the most effective top button – e.g. Facebook group

5. Reviews – ask your clients to add a review

2#: Create a Cool Gift

Create a cool gift that will help your ideal client solve their most pressing problem.

Post it in either your personal profile or your Facebook group. You can also post it on LinkedIn and Instagram.

I recommend the 80/20 rhythm – 80% giving, 20% asking – asking to come to an event or a strategy session, not selling your program.

#3: Visit Your Neighbours

If you don’t have a big following, visit your ‘neighbours’ online – other people’s Facebook groups.

Share valuable posts. You can do it yourself or get a VA (Virtual Assistant) to do it.

Connect with potential IFC’s (Ideal Future Clients) who engaged with your gift. Aim for around 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins before you log off at night.

Don’t slide into DM’s and try and have conversations with people you don’t know. Use Facebook’s algorithm. The more targeted friends we have, the better.

#4: Invite Them Over

Ask them if they’d like your gift (permission-based marketing), then you can share your link which is basically inviting them to your home.

Your home is your email, your chat, and your Facebook group.

People love good quality communities.

We want to give them a virtual ‘hug’ (nurture and connection) in 3 ways:

* Your group

* Your email list

* You chat with them

#5: Make Them Feel Welcome

You want them to feel at home… no matter what stage they are at or how different to you they are.

Continue to add value and give them more great content.

3 Influential Hacks To Convert Your Content Into Clients

Want to know how to create content that leads to you getting clients?

There are 3 cool hacks that are great to have up your sleeve, to help you get more engagement in your content. And most importantly, take the next step towards working with you.

These hacks are simple, and have zero sleaze factor and pure elegance.

They’re templates that are pre-written ready to put into your content to save you lots of time.

They can help you get new clients fast, even if you’re not a good writer, have a small list, and suck at tech!

You Can Use These 3 Hacks In Your…

  • Emails
  • Email nurture sequences
  • Social media posts
  • Live videos
  • DM’s
  • Articles

In this video, I share…

  • 3 Influential Content Hacks that can transform your business
  • How to ‘bust beliefs’ to help people move forward in their life
  • How to use the power of “If… then”
  • The ‘essential element’ that is needed for your ideal client

Here are some of the highlights of what I shared…

#1: Bust Their Beliefs

Think of your top 3 clients and what are they struggling with.

Here are some questions to ask…

1. Beliefs: About Themselves

What’s one false belief your ideal clients might have about themselves as to why it won’t work?

2. Beliefs About You Or Others

What’s a false belief they might have about you or others as to why it won’t work?

3. Beliefs About Your Method

What’s a false belief they have about your method – why it won’t work for them?

#2: Use The Power of ‘If…Then…’

Saying “You need to” or “You should” can sometimes bring up resistance in your audience’s mind if there’s not enough rapport yet.

Instead, you can use ‘if…then…’ statements.

Examples…

  • If you want to be (identity) then you need (your method)
  • If you want to have (result) then you need (your method)
  • If things aren’t working for you in (area of life), then it’s probably because (crucial ingredient) is missing.⠀
#3: The Essential Element

If you want to increase someone’s desire for your method, you can position it as an essential element.

This is also a great way to elegantly influence someone to see things a different way, without being salesy.

The Essential Element Template #1

“People who (have achieved result) have (actions/mindset)“
  • People who lose weight and keep it off have something specific in common. They have taken a personalised approach
  • People who are achieving incredible growth in their business have somewhere along their journey invested in a mentor
  • People who have overcome anxiety have been willing to be brave and look below the surface to the root cause

    The template…
“To (achieve result) … (your method) is essential“
  • If you want to have a profitable business, having a proven plan is essential
  • In order to have an incredible relationship, understanding each other’s love languages is essential
  • If you want to be a healthy size and feel great about yourself, understanding macronutrients is essential

P.S Whenever you’re ready… here are 3 other ways I can help you grow your business:

3. Work with me privately

If you’d like to work directly with me … just send me a Facebook Message with the word “Private”… tell me a little about your business and what you’d like to work on together, and I’ll get you all the details! — Message Here

The Simple Tweak That Makes Your Content More Engaging

Do you ever wonder how to make your content more engaging?⠀

Do you get discouraged when you go to a lot of effort to craft a post and it hardly gets noticed?

I’m with you. It can feel so disheartening and such a waste of time.

There are lots of reasons why your content may not be engaging people.

Sometimes it’s because it’s not relevant to them. Or we posted at a time when not many people were online.

But often it’s because there’s a major piece missing that makes a MASSIVE difference in engagement.

It’s a simple tweak you can make that breaks down resistance in people’s minds and changes the way they perceive you. It’s an easy fix, but so many people miss it.

In this video, I share…

  • The key ingredient that can INSTANTLY make your content so much more engaging
  • The consequences of not having this ingredient in your content
  • How to lower your audience’s filters, so that they can see and accept the value that you are sharing
  • Tools to transform your content from hardly being seen, to consistently attracting your ideal clients
  • How to create content that stops the scroll and makes all the effort you put into your creating your content worthwhile.

Here are some of the highlights of what I shared…

#1. Think About What Engages You

What engages you is similar to what engages your audience.

It’s the golden rule – do unto others what you’d have them do unto you.

If you don’t like seeing content that’s preachy or pushy or content that’s irrelevant and you don’t get any gold nuggets out of it…

…it’s a good clue about what your ideal client would respond to.

Something that really helps you to infuse rapport in your content is to have a clear picture in your mind of your ideal client while you’re creating it.

Imagine you’re writing it to ONE person. Just one. And imagine them receiving it. This helps it come across less like a ‘broadcast’.

The other thing that really helps is to read it out loud.

When most of us speak things out, they usually sound more conversational than when we write them. Make tweaks if it doesn’t sound natural.

#2. Wrap Empathy Around Change

Without rapport, it doesn’t matter how valuable your content is because it’s ONLY when they accept the value, that they SEE it as value.

If you miss this, your audience will close off.

The challenge is, how do we share a piece of content that inspires change, or shifts a belief, without coming across as preachy?

The key is empathy.

Show that you understand it’s not always easy to change.

Show that you relate to them as a human.

Show that you get their frustrations and you’ve walked through them and have created a path that will help them navigate them.

Thinking about how people will feel when they’re consuming your content is crucial.

#3. Be a Trusted Advisor, Not Just a Teacher

There’s a great quote from a powerful business leader, the late Mack McCormack: who said…

“All things being equal, people will do business with a friend; all things being unequal, people will still do business with a friend.”

When someone feels like a friend, we’re far more likely to engage in business with them, regardless of whether it’s even the best option.

It’s a delicate dance between professionalism AND warmth.

You want to be casual and warm enough to build rapport, but professional enough to build trust.

Want to know more about how to create truly compelling content so you can get engagement in your content online?

When you know how to create compelling content, your marketing becomes easier, faster, and more enjoyable, and you show up with more confidence.

And this is why I created a 1-day online course called ‘How To Attract Clients With Compelling Content.’⠀
⠀
This event is for Coaches and Experts who want help to capture the hearts and minds of their audience, so they can attract aligned clients consistently. It’s a free event happening on Saturday 27th November.

How To Get People Choosing YOU Over Others In Your Industry

Are you wondering how to stand out from everyone else who does what you do?

If you want to serve and impact people in a meaningful way, there’s a key skill you need: INFLUENCE.

Without the skill of influence, we rarely make an impact on others, even if we’re excellent at what we do.

In 2009, I arrived in the UK with just a suitcase. I barely knew anyone. I had no credit card, no job, and no money to start a business. Within 6 months, I was earning the equivalent of $2,000+ AUD every week, using the skill of influence.

This was in London, a big city that is known for being hard to crack.

But doing business in London is like any other city in the world because it’s full of people.

People everywhere respond to the skill of influence.

It’s based on clearly communicating your value and packaging it in a way the market finds irresistible.

You don’t have to have a university degree, a lot of money, a big following, or be the best in your industry.

People with influence attract the right people to them and it isn’t a struggle.

“Influential people don’t chase, they attract.”

Influential people don’t chase, they attract.

They’re treated with respect and others listen when they speak.

They’re well connected, they attract high-vibe people, and they have a lot of fun.

People with influence get chosen over others in their industry.

It doesn’t take years to become a person of influence. In our online world, you can influence people quickly using social platforms.

When you know how to influence others by clearly communicating your value, and package it in a way that people find irresistible, people choose YOU over the many other options.

So I have a question for you: How often are you showing up on social media with an influential message?

It doesn’t take years to learn how to do it. It doesn’t take lots of guesswork and it doesn’t take hustling. It takes focusing on the things that matter most.

Here are 3 things you can do to stand out from your competition and influence the right people…

1. Rock Your First Impression

You only get one chance to make a great first impression.

I’ve met so many people at business networking events and seminars. Something I’ve noticed is that so many business people actually put people off from wanting to work with them because of the energy they give off.

They’re often unclear about the value they offer and they seem to lack credibility that others pick up on.

It’s not that they are bad people or don’t have value to offer. They’re just not clear and confident when you ask them what they do.

Sadly, they’re not memorable.

Others I’ve met deflect straight away saying something like, “I’m a chartered accountant, how about you?”

These environments are brimming with opportunities and you can walk away with so many great connections if you have the skill of influence.

That’s why at almost every event I go to I don’t aim to sell, but I do aim to influence.

I remember the first time I met this guy called Matt at a business event about 7 years ago. He was in his early 20’s. I remember his first impression so clearly.

I asked him about what he did and within the first few minutes, he told me about the online business he was working on and his dream to become a millionaire.

He said it with so much conviction, I remember thinking, “He’s going to make it”.

I watched him over the years, and sure enough, he now has over 127,000 followers on Instagram and is an 8-figure entrepreneur.

Matt has the skill of making a great first impression through his conviction, certainty, and confidence.

Another way to make a great first impression is to make sure your online presence shows your credibility.

If someone Googled you right now, what’s the first impression they would get about you?

“In the online world, you are who Google says you are.”

There are a few things you want to have in place.

First of all, want to come up on the first page of Google. And there should be multiple things that come up. You do that by having a presence in multiple places, not just your website.

A good question to answer is, “When people search for you on Google and in social media platforms, do they find someone who they would invite to speak at a summit, or on their podcast?” That’s my litmus test.

It can take time to build a strong online presence but if you are working on becoming a person of influence, these are the things that you need to think about. The things that give people a positive first impression of you.

It’s essential to have a really well-thought-out profile on social media that is specific, results-focused, and shares exactly who you are and what you do.

It also needs to include a great personal pitch and if your profile has these elements, you are likely to get opportunities consistently.

I got invited to speak at a summit recently by a lady in California who found me in a Facebook group. She found me because I’m visible and know how to clearly communicate my value online.

It doesn’t take long to clean up your online profile. If you’ve not updated your website lately, maybe it’s time to freshen it up.

Also, it might be time to go over your social profiles and tweak your bios and connection statements and make sure they are giving off a good impression.

2. Get Great Results For People

This is so simple but if you’re not getting great results for people, then this is what you have to focus on.

If you don’t have great results-based testimonies that have a written and video testimonial, then this is a priority for you.

If you’re not getting results with people, it’s very hard for people to choose you over other people who have great results-based testimonials. Please do whatever it takes to get tangible results with people.

If you have to go and offer free coaching with people so you can get testimonials, then that’s what you have to do. Social proof is so powerful.

“Confidence comes from competence.”

You can do all the affirmations and the mindset work to get yourself confident, but the best way to get confident is actually being really freaking good at what you do.

You’ve just got to be working with people. Facebook is full of people that you could work with and get a result for. I did hundreds of coaching sessions with people without charging.

I did loads and loads of free strategy sessions. Do whatever you need to get results so you can have solid testimonials that will bring you in clients.

3. Have A Clear Problem And Solution

Having a clear problem and solution makes you stand out. The more niche you are, the more memorable you are.

If you’re a life coach, how are you going to stand out from all other life coaches in your industry?

You need to be super clear on your problem and how you solve it. This makes you stand out.

Becoming super clear on your message can be one of the hardest things to do.

When you’re choosing a clear problem and solution you want to look at the sophistication level of your ideal client. Are they just starting out or are they well on their journey?

I’ll give you four examples from people I’ve helped become clear on their problems and solutions so they could really identify and reach their niche market.

One of my clients helped women handle ex-partners with who they had children with. We worked her niche statement to be:

“I help Mums to navigate co-parenting with their ex-partner to create a harmonious family.”

I had a real estate coach who I helped rework their niche statement to say:

“I help Real Estate Agents to make more sales and to build their business from six figures to seven figures a year.”

A personal trainer’s niche statement was: “I help busy mums to improve their health and fitness.” We reworked it to say:

“I help Mums of toddlers to stay in shape by working out at home.”

This is a super simple statement, but it’s very clear.

Finally, a client I helped who was a mindset coach define her niche to:

“I help women recover from self-doubt to create rock-solid confidence and start dating again.”

This took a lot of courage as she was worried she would cut out a lot of clientele. But this really made her stand out over others.

And finally, make sure that you are leveraging your own personal story. No one else has your story. Your journey has so many experiences and things that you’ve already overcome that you can use to increase your influence.

“Your real wealth is in your story.”

Your journey, your passions, and your experiences are not meaningless … they are a goldmine.

You probably already have lots of examples of people you’ve helped and value you’ve added to others’ lives. When you use what you have and refine it, you can better communicate your value.

Refine your language around your story so that it becomes valuable in the marketplace, and do it boldly. You want to stand for something and you want to stand against something.

When you do that, you stand out to other people.

It doesn’t take years, it doesn’t take hustling and grinding, it just takes focusing on the right things.

I help people get crystal clear on their message and effectively communicate their value through their content and presentations so they can attract and sign up more of their ideal clients.

If you need help with this, I offer a free 45-minute strategy session where I create a personalised business roadmap for you.

You can book in for your free strategy session here.

How To Create A 6-Figure Coaching Business (Without Doing ‘All The Things’)

What does it really take to grow a 6-figure coaching business?

If you’ve been coaching for a while, you’re probably a great coach. But if you want to create a six-figure coaching business, the question to ask is… is being a great coach enough to get you reliable, consistent clients?

In theory, anyone can become a coach. Coaching is generally the easier part. It’s the business of coaching that’s more complex.

The successful coaches I know (myself included) have created success predominately because of our business skills. Understanding the business side is what makes a difference between making it or not making it as a business owner.

I know I’m a great coach. But that’s not the main reason I grew my business to earn 6 figures annually. It happened because I got as good at business as I am at coaching. And because I am, I can help WAY more people.

So I’m going to share some of the mistakes I made and also the common mistakes I see coaches making.

Successful coaches have mastered the art and science of marketing and selling.

You might be thinking that you don’t like sales or marketing. Or you may not want to come across as pushy.

I get it. But here’s the good news.

To become a 6-figure coach, you don’t need to be an expert marketer, do cold pitching, chase people or hustle… You don’t need run ads or even have a website!

You certainly don’t need to work longer hours, grunting and grinding away on things you don’t enjoy. Otherwise, you can burn out & become a slave to your business.

But you DO need to take the things off your to-do list that aren’t moving the needle forward and focus on doing the right things.

If you want to generate a consistent flow of quality leads you need a proven strategy…

…so you can finally stop the frustration of wondering where your clients are going to come from… and start consistently earning 10k+ per month, reliably and predictably.

After being in business for 18 years and trying so many different things, I’ve discovered there are just 5 things you need to focus on to grow your coaching business to six figures.

1 – Design A Client Attraction Strategy

The first thing you need is a strategy to attract your ideal clients consistently. For this attraction phase to work, you’ve got to remember that people buy for their reasons, not yours.

When I started out in business, I was a personal trainer, then a health coach, a mindset coach.

When I decided to become a business coach, I didn’t want to let go of all this knowledge I had acquired in these other areas. I tried to position myself to do way too many things, and it just didn’t work.

Choosing a focused niche may feel like you are closing doors, but the truth is many more doors will open to the right people.

When I chose to become more focused on a niche, it closed doors to some potential clients, but it opened doors to way more people and opportunities. Having a clear niche can activate a fear of missing out, and fear and worry that you may not get enough clients.

The coolest thing is when you step into the specificity of a niche, it helps convey to people specifically how you help them, which actually draws MORE people to you. It helps you to elaborate on a clear problem that you solve.

Being vague and non-specific does not work, especially in the attraction phase. If you want to level up your business to 6 figures, you need to have the willingness to solve a clear specific problem.

To do this means really stepping up in terms of the way you view yourself and position yourself as an expert and authority. It does require a level of courage to do this, especially if you are not feeling that confident yet.

A lot of coaches are creating content when they don’t have clarity on the problem they solve… and they are wondering why it’s not working for them. The lack of clarity will reflect on your marketing, and how you’re creating your content.

Once you make the decision to niche (even if you’re worried about it), you will find people respond better, because you are being clear on the specific problem you help people with and the way you journey people to the solution.

2 – Craft A Profitable Presentation

The next thing you need to do to consistently hit six figures, is to craft a profitable presentation. A profitable presentation is a very powerful asset.

Written content is important. But for most coaches, written content alone, like blogs, emails, and social media captions rarely is enough to attract clients consistently.

Written content alone doesn’t always inspire and influence someone to make a decision to work with you.  Unless you’re a really great writer, written content does a poor job of converting people consistently.

If you want people to trust you, you need time with them. In order to build trust, you need to ask for time, however long it takes for people to go from cold to sold.

The reason people give you time is that you offer to educate them. Otherwise how else are you going to get their time?

It’s very challenging to get more than 60 minutes of someone’s time on social media. So an online event is a win/ win scenario for both you and the person attending your online event.

To take someone from cold to sold, you must build trust and building trust requires someone having time with you.

You ask them to give you their time, and in return, you’ll give them education for free.

During this time with them, you’re building trust and showing them how you help people.

The most powerful strategy I’ve discovered for attracting clients is to combine great content with a great presentation.

Having an effective presentation:

  1. Keeps people’s attention
  2. Creates more trust
  3. Positions you as an authority
  4. Helps you overcome people’s false beliefs
  5. Inspires people to take action
  6. Is highly leveraged to save you time
  7. Builds your email list

Doing just one-on-one coaching doesn’t give you that leverage. When you’re willing to get on a platform, even if it’s a platform like Zoom online, immediately your authority level goes up.

In an online event Zoom event, you have time to shift people’s beliefs and objections to buying.

Rather than having 50 sales conversations which would take 50 hours of your time, you can have that same value speaking to 50 people all at once. Can you see how leveraged having a profitable presentation is?

It’s challenging to just keep doing one-on-one coaching and get to 6 figures annually. The fastest way to do it is by having a combination of having a profitable presentation and compelling content.

3 – Create Compelling Content

You can have an incredible program or service, but without compelling content, it’s like having a Porsche but leaving it in your garage. You won’t get very far.

The marketplace has shifted to be more education-based and the cool thing about this new marketplace is that if you enjoy teaching, training, and educating people, you’re in a good position to inspire people to take action.

People don’t really care about your product or program. They just want to know that you’re able to give them what they desire, and this is where you can show them that you’re the expert and you do this through educating them with your content.

You also do this by using your content to shift their beliefs. Your content needs to clearly show someone what you recommend in order to get from Point A to Point B. Which you’ll notice is what I’m doing right now in this blog.

Use your content to shift beliefs in your ideal clients from what they currently believe to what you want them to believe and educating them is key to this.

When you take the time to educate your clients, it can really dramatically shift your business.

When you create consistent content, you’re educating people on why you’re different. You’re also changing their beliefs from what they currently believe, to what you want them to believe. And you do this in order to have them take that next step to work with you.

Not doing this was a massive mistake that I made. (I made mistakes in all the 5 areas that I’m talking about today!)

I didn’t realise you need a formula and strategy to create compelling content that inspires action. I used to just wing it.

I would literally just write a blog, without having any structure or any formula.

I’d just show up and throw up (as they say.) I’d do Facebook Live videos that didn’t have a plan or proper structure.

The purpose of your content is to educate people and inspire them to take action.

4 – Build An Automated Funnel

When you’re building a coaching business to 6-figures, there are two distinct paths you can go down.

One is working manually, which means you just keeping up as best as you can with your never-ending to-do list.

Or, you can choose the second path, which is building a funnel, which is an asset.

A funnel is a path that people go through where they come into your email list by putting their name and email to access free content. You then take them through a process of nurturing them until they know, like, and trust you and then if they’re the right match, invite them to become your paid client.

This is what so many of your competitors are not doing because it takes some thought and learning, which can be scary or overwhelming. But it’s one of the most powerful ways to have a sustainable, successful business.

What so many coaches do is start their business manually, which is how most of us start out, but then they attempt for the rest of the business’s life to keep running it manually.

Using funnels to automate your business equals freedom.

If you haven’t already decided, please decide that you’re going to stop running your business manually.

Automation equals freedom.

This makes a huge difference in terms of the financial capacity and lifestyle your business can bring you. Rather than consuming and reacting, you create and build a profitable, scalable asset.

Because I know how to create funnels, I can be out running, get an idea, come home and have a funnel up online within a few hours.

It’s incredible because you can build a funnel that generates a lot of income without doing a lot of work.

If you don’t have an automated funnel in place, there’s only so far you can go.  Everything is capped. Your sales, your profit, your growth, your lifestyle – everything is limited.

Some people think it looks too hard, but what’s worse? Running a business that sucks the life and soul out of you, because you’re so stressed out and doing everything manually? Or taking the time to upskill and automate your business?

I use ClickFunnels for this, as I’ve found it’s one of the best landing page builders and funnel builders in the world, and I trust it. I’ve had people say to me they don’t want to pay for a subscription, but all you need to do is have one client and that pays for a whole year’s subscription.

I’ve got 20 different funnels working for me. I have webinar funnels, lead magnets, and my online courses hosted there also. This gives me so much freedom.

I love taking time to have holidays. I bought a timeshare over 10 years ago and if I didn’t have funnels in place, I wouldn’t be able to take so many holidays.

To me, taking the time to set up automation is a no-brainer. When you have a funnel in place, you no longer have peaks and troughs leaving money on the table.

But, when you build an automated funnel, you have the capacity to generate a consistent lead flow.

5 – Develop A High-Performance Mindset

To create a successful coaching business … and by success, I’m talking about a business that fills your bank account and your soul… you need to develop a high-performance mindset.

You have to constantly level up your mindset. A high-performance mindset is focused on taking charge of your life and business. It’s about being a leader.

You can’t wait for a miracle, a sign, a rescuer, or a lucky break. You have to create it yourself. It starts with being intentional about what you want from your life and then building your business around that.

It’s really important that you figure out what you want in your ideal life, and then take actions towards making that come true. From there, you can put the proper structures in place.

You can’t wait for a rescuer or a lucky break. You have to create your opportunities yourself and that starts with being intentional.

Structures create outcomes.

Having structures like systems, strategy, and support in place is what builds a sustainable business around your vision.

Hustling 16 hours a day might sound impressive, but it’s not healthy. Manageability is crucial. And this always starts with your mindset.

When I started out, I acted like I was a 6-figure business owner before I had the money in the bank. I believed so deeply that it would happen for me, and because of that, I was able to step into the mindset of a 6-figure business owner and take action as they would.

Back then when I made investments, hired team members, or made any major decisions around my business, I always asked myself what would a 6-figure business owner do?  Then I did that.

This meant never accepting anything less than everything I want.

A high-performance mindset is willing to take risks. It’s an abundance mindset. It’s charging what you’re worth, not allowing yourself to stress out about money, and knowing that there are always clients.

You have to believe that you’re going to find a way to make things work.  You can’t play safe or be timid. You’ve got to make quick decisions and put yourself out there.

I see so many Facebook groups where people are saying they are looking for someone to contribute to their book or to speak at events. There will be hundreds of people putting their hand up, and I wonder why these people aren’t putting out their own books and sharing their knowledge in their own events.

It’s not that hard to do. It’s just about being willing to do it.

You’ve got to take risks. You’ve got to know your ‘why’. It’s about deciding specifically who you want to serve, how you want to spend your time (based on what you enjoy), and how you want your business to feel.

I fully trust in my work ethic, I trust myself and back myself.

I know that I’m going to make a way, even if there does not look like there is a way. I’m going to find a way to make things work. I don’t play safe. I’m not afraid to put myself out there, even though I don’t always feel confident.

That’s what high-performance business owners do.

When you get off the merry-go-round of chasing quick fixes, and step from a place of scarcity into an abundance mindset, you will create something truly great in this world.

In order to go faster, sometimes we need to slow down and learn a different way of doing things.
