4 Crucial Keys To Attracting Coaching Clients Consistently

One of the biggest mistakes I see a lot of business owners making when it comes to attracting clients is a lack of focus.

Trying to do too many things, and nothing is really making any significant difference.

When I first started my business, I used to sit at my laptop every morning and before long, I’d have lots of tabs open, and I’d be researching.

I’d be going down rabbit holes and consuming way too much of other people’s content … instead of creating my own.

If you want to stop wasting time on all those things that don’t make a significant difference in your business, it’s time to strip it all back to what really works.

Everything gets a whole lot simpler when you focus solely on the things that matter.

To have a sustainable business, you’ve got to simplify and only be focusing on a few solid strategies that work.

Then you can really trust that your business will continue to provide abundantly for you.

If you want a business where you make 10k or more every month, and make a big difference in people’s lives, there are 4 powerful methods that I recommend.

Only four.  These are the exact strategies that I personally use. And they’re the only FOUR things that got me to 6-figures in the first 12 months of going full-time in my coaching business.

Here are the 4 Crucial Keys
1. Content Strategy

The first thing you need to attract clients consistently, is a content strategy.

A content strategy is a non-negotiable. It’s not an option. Every coach who wants to be successful needs to share compelling content consistently.

The challenge is if you don’t have it…

You have pieces… but not a whole…

You only post when you feel inspired…

It sets an atmosphere of amateurism…

The opportunity is if you have it…

You have a simple system, like paint by numbers…

You have a way to consistently get rewarded for your efforts…

You finally start getting clients from your content…

2. Client Attraction Funnel

The second key to attract clients consistently is to have a client attraction funnel.

A funnel is basically a place where someone can opt in any time and join your pipeline.  

This is your 24/7 client attraction machine.

The challenge is if you don’t have it…

It feels too complex, so it stays on your to-do list…

You’re posting content, but losing leads, so you stay still…

You stay stuck at the starting point and don’t build your business…

The Opportunity is if you have it…

You feel a constant sense of progress because your numbers are growing…

People can be looked after while you’re away from your laptop…

You have a system to sign up clients whenever you want them…

3. Conversion Event

The third key to attract clients consistently is having a conversion event. A conversion event is a way of presenting what you do to a group of people and elegantly inviting your ideal clients to your offer.

The challenge is if you don’t have it…

You hide away and stay invisible to the people you can help…

You don’t have an effective way to get your audience to a place of decision…

You leave money on the table…

The opportunity is if you have it…

You massively leverage your time…

You create instant positioning…

It feels like you’re doing business with your best friends…

The ONE thing that has always gotten me the most clients the fastest is conversion events.

Events that convert leads into clients.

4. Coaching Support

The fourth thing that you need in order to attract clients is coaching support.

This includes TWO things – an experienced expert and a quality community.

There’s nothing more valuable in your business than having support. Having support holds us to a higher standard. It holds you to getting things done.

It’s the one thing in my business that accelerated me faster than anything.

Receiving consistent clarity, guidance, and feedback from an expert who has achieved what you want to achieve, and who is farther along in the journey is priceless.

How to fall more in love with your business in 2023

Do you want to have a business you LOVE in 2023?

Getting back into work mode after a holiday is not always easy. But what helps is having a business that you LOVE!

Why is it SO important to YOU that you LOVE your business?

For me, it’s important because

  1. I show up better for people
  2. I experience more joy
  3. I’m more inspired and creative
  4. I create better work
  5. It keeps me in this for the long-game

Are you building a business that you actually love?

Many people waste a lot of time in business because they are fighting so much resistance. They’re not motivated because they’re not in love with their business. There’s a lot of wasted energy and they end up exhausted.

When we’re in the swing of the year we can just get caught up in what we’re doing, but this is a perfect time to check in with what we actually want and need to have a business we love.

I am currently in a season of feeling completely loved up.

I’ve met a special someone that I feel is absolutely my person and I feel waves of joy, warmth, and fuzzy all over. I am absolutely melting and excited and grateful and so happy.

You know what I’m talking about right? We’ve all experienced it.

The 3 key essentials that make you fall in love with your business 
1. Focus on how you want to feel

Human beings are feeling machines. Everything we do, we do for a feeling.

So instead of starting with goals, start with feelings.

That means – you focus on how you want to feel – you don’t focus on what you don’t want to feel.

It’s so important to TUNE OUT ANY COMPARISON with what other people are doing – unless it’s to inspire you.

There’s absolutely NO reason to think that you should have done anything more over the holidays than you do – or in any way think that you’re behind. You’re not behind.

Forget what everyone else is doing. Who cares if there are other coaches who have been posting consistently over the holidays, and who already have put offers out.

Just tune it out.

What you have to offer right now is valuable.

The time you’ve taken off was needed.

There’s no reason to look back.

Your power to create and deliver awesomeness is still there and there is no need to compare yourself to anyone else right now.

Exactly where you are at is perfect.

Focusing on the past can bring up negative feelings.

Good feelings often come when we focus on our why.

My challenge to you is to remind yourself why you love your business so much.

As you do this, you might realise there are aspects of your business you don’t love that you’re not willing to do and you want to break up with them.

It could be an offer or a program or a system or a way of doing things that doesn’t bring you joy anymore.

If what you decided last year for this year doesn’t make sense anymore, feel free to let it go.

You were doing your best then, and now you can see more clearly.

If you have been doing something for years that is boring you to tears, think of something new or a way to tweak it to bring you more excitement again.

Nothing good comes out of continuing to flog a dead horse.

Maybe you need to:

  • Outsource tasks that you find monotonous or aren’t in your skillset to someone else
  • Streamline your processes to make things run more smoothly
  • Join a community with high-energy, enthusiastic members
  • Look for new opportunities
  • Learn a new skillset
  • Stay true to what matters most to you.

What words do you want to feel this year?

Here are some ideas.

Joyful. Easeful. Powerful. Peaceful. Stress-free. Lit-up. On fire. Excited. Energised. On track. Abundant. In flow. Supported.

Choose your words. I recommend you choose 3.

2. Write down what brings you those feelings

So what is it that you want this year in order to feel those feelings? What do you want your business to be like?

Write some notes. Some actions or statements or mantras. Whatever will help you. You might like to write down what you need to believe in order to feel these words.

Here’s what I wrote:

This year…

  • I allow myself plenty of time, margins and spaciousness
  • I say no to stress
  • I let go of anything that doesn’t feel alive or light me up any more
  • I refuse to judge myself harshly
  • I refuse to compare myself to others
  • I only consume content that inspires me
  • I regularly get out in fresh air and nature
  • I prioritise quality relationships and fun

The 3 words I chose was peaceful, energised and abundant.

3. Take action according to your values

Now write down the actions you need to take to make it happen.

For example:

Peaceful – I tend my temple – looking after my body, soul and spirit. I exercise daily, I set timers to stretch and move throughout the day, and I eat nourishing food 90% of the time.

It’s all about how to get clients fast and consistently using a marketing strategy that you will love.

Kat’s 2022 Review

Welcome 2023!

Good BYE 2022! 

Hello 2023!

Although nothing magically changes when we turn the pages in our calendar, I’m grateful that we have seasons and markers to help us process time into manageable chunks.

The promise and hope of a new year is an exciting feeling and a beautiful chance to reflect, reset and recharge.

Every year, before we turn the page and start a new chapter in the new year, I find it helpful to create an annual review.

A review can help you to look at your actions and results over the past 12 months and ask, “How well did my habits and choices help me live the life I want to live?”

It’s powerful to reflect on the past year to learn from the lessons and challenges before looking ahead and can help us when we’re planning our new year.

And it’s a fun and enjoyable process to celebrate!

I go through my calendar and photos from the last 12 months to see the things I did in the year.

This year I tweaked my review process and created an ‘Ultimate End Of Year Review’ worksheet.

This is my review of 2022…

1. Who are you proud of being this year?

My truly authentic self. I was vulnerable, brave, hard-working, focused, generous, and consistent.

2. What challenges are you proud of overcoming?

Hiring new team members and putting new systems in place

3. What are some things you are proud of doing? 

Making the biggest investment that I ever have in business – $2,500/month program. 

This training was the highest experience I had ever invested in. And it has paid itself back already over and over again. It was way beyond what I could have imagined.

4. What are some specific skills you developed? 

Copywriting, marketing, presenting, confidence, leadership

5. What are some things you learned? 

I got clearer on my mission, which is to help thousands of women each year to help more people, by crafting and sharing their unique message.

Ultimately, to create a business they love that makes a significant and meaningful impact in people’s lives.

I feel it is my purpose and life mission to help women develop authentic communication skills, yet I was afraid to own my truth about relating – which is that I’d been SCARED to say what I WANT.

The fact that my spirituality is a non-negotiable part of me, that I hadn’t FULLY embraced that fact. It’s part of who I am and how I do business and the more I honour it, the better a businesswoman I am.

I learned that I’m worthy of having everything I want in a relationship and I met an amazing man and started a dream relationship!

6. What are some things you created?

7. How did you help others?

The people who came across my path. My life mission is to uplift everyone I come across – the waitress, the person who packs my groceries.

8. Where did you have the most fun in your business? 

I decided to stop working most Saturdays and have Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as cave days where I don’t see any clients. This was such a game-changer! I created so much more value and made a bigger impact this way.

9. What are you most grateful for about the year?

My community

My friends

I’m feeling incredibly grateful for everything in 2022!



I realised that the years of working on the inner realm with mindset and personal development prepared me to get through the challenges.

I did deep healing work, and didn’t get stuck in looking back or lamenting, just kept taking action.

If we want to succeed, we need to get ourselves into growth environments, create our own opportunities, and step up and take inspired action…so that our people can connect with us and transform their lives.

Overall, I’m very happy with the progress I made in 2022. I grew and produced a lot and my capacity has really increased.

I highly recommend the activity of writing a review. It’s really insightful and enjoyable.

A lot of us are starting to think about what we want for the following year.

But as well as looking forward, let’s take a moment to stop and look back.

Otherwise, we can leave a lot of lessons behind and miss squeezing all of the juicy wisdom out of what this year has taught us.

The Ultimate End Of Year Review

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS on all you have been and done this year!

No matter how much you’ve achieved or where you’re at, there’s always lots to celebrate and feel good about!

Before we dive in, let’s first acknowledge any feelings of regret or disappointment with kindness.

There are usually lots of things left undone, unsaid, and uncreated in a year. There are many challenging circumstances and imperfections.  And that’s perfectly ok. 

The important thing is to acknowledge and take wisdom from them. Then let them go and move on into being and creating everything we desire.

One way we can do this is by creating a ‘reframe statement’. 

Think about your biggest regret, challenge, disappointment, or ‘failure’ from this year. Then write down how you choose to think, believe, act or feel anyway. 

Reframe statement:

Even though (circumstances), I choose (response)

Now take a deep breath, and let’s move on to celebrating you!

Do your best to answer these questions from your heart. It isn’t about what looks good on ‘paper’, but what you are truly proud of, no matter how small or unimportant it might seem to others.

1. Who are you proud of being this year?

2. What challenges are you proud of overcoming?

3. What are some things you are proud of doing? 

4. What are some specific skills you developed? 

5. What are some things you learned? 

6. What are some things you created?

7. How did you help others?

8. Where did you have the most fun in your business? 

9. What are you most grateful for the year?

Calling In New Clients In The End-Of-Year-Season

There are 3 big mistakes that a lot of business owners make at the end of the year that can massively set you back.

1. Taking your foot off the accelerator too early

I’ve heard a few people saying in the last week that they’re not sure if they should wind down because it’s coming to the end of the year and maybe I shouldn’t run this campaign until next year. Maybe it’s better to wait.

Unless you’re nearing burn out, I think this is a massive mistake.

I know you’re probably excited to start your holiday…

But I want you to think about something.

Do your clients still need help from you right now?

Or are you going to make it a time to continue to clients with what they’re struggling with?

Are you going to slow down now and kind of dump everything in 2023 to deal with later?

Or are you going to finish the year strong and satisfied?

If you still have energy left in the tank…

…then the only time you stop marketing is when you want to stop getting clients, stop helping people and stop making money.

There are persistent thoughts that are going on in your potential client’s minds right now that you can help them with.

Marketing is always about joining the conversation that’s happening in their head right now. It’s been a big year for a lot of people.

And we want to tap into what they’re feeling and make sure you’re continuing to reach out and share great content and sign-up clients this season.

If you want more clients and cashflow by Christmas…

…you want to take action NOW (not wait until next year)…

So number one mistake – stopping too early and assuming everyone is too busy over December and January.

2. Not looking after your existing clients well

A lot of business owners think that once they’ve got a certain amount of paying clients, they need to focus most of their effort on finding new ones.

This is a mistake. The best clients are repeat clients. People will continue to be clients if you look after them well.

Set them up for a win at this time of year.

Continue to create great content for them. Continue to support them and inspire them and encourage them to have sessions with you and not get swept away with the busyness of this season.

In my inner circle community, I run weekly calls and fortnightly action sessions and in the final 2 weeks before Christmas we focus on reflecting on the year that’s been.

Celebrating our wins, planning and getting ready to hit the ground running in the new year.

3. Not setting up your marketing plan for next year, this year

And the third big mistake that I think hurts coaches a lot at this time of the year is not getting ready for next year this year.

In other words, not finishing this year with a plan for not just your first week back, but your first campaign that and a marketing calendar for the whole of next year.

In my inner circle community, we start planning our marketing calendars at the end of the year, so the first day back from holidays they can click go and roll it out.

3 Things You Can Do To Call In Clients In The End-Of-Year-Season

1. Help people win

Right now at the end of the year, no matter what your niche is or where your market is everybody thinks the same thing. Over the next six or eight weeks, everyone’s going through the exact same thought process.

They’re going to realise that they didn’t hit all the goals they set.

About 95% of the population didn’t hit all of their goals – didn’t achieve everything they hoped for.

And they’re hoping that next year is better.

So, what we’re going to do is we’re tapping into that mindset and creating a version of that.

Create a vision event – an online event like a Facebook live video or a masterclass that taps into this idea of it’s been a big year – let’s do things differently next year.

In this event, create an emotional and mental desire to make next year better or to get a specific result.

Then offer a call with you.

2. Look after your existing clients

Run events such as:

  • Celebration
  • Review the year
  • Create a vision
  • Plan the following year
  • Plan the following quarter
  • Plan January

3. Set up your marketing plan for next year

This is a time of huge danger if you get this wrong and a huge opportunity if you get this right.

If you do this wrong and you take your foot off the accelerator too early, what happens is you lose all of the potential clients that you could have signed in the next few months.

If you get this right, you sign up a bunch of clients, you get them off to a really great start and you collect more money so you can finish the year really strong.

If you’ve spent any of this year kind of confused, and unsure about what to do – it’s probably because you didn’t plan the year at the start.
