The Art Of Elegant Influence: How To Create Content That Inspires Action

Do you ever wonder how to inspire people to work with you?

In an online world that’s noisier than ever, our ability to tune out messages is at an all-time high.

So, it’s important that you know how to create content that inspires people to reach out to work with you.

Influence is the bridge that gets your message to people in a way that evokes action.

You can have the greatest intentions and the greatest offer, but if your content isn’t influential…

…it won’t land with the right people and inspire them to take action.

Your content is just entertaining.

The ripple effect is profound if we can influence heart-centred people.

People who care deeply about others and want the best for others.

Definition of Influence: the ability to be a compelling force, or to
produce effects on the actions, behaviour and opinion of others.

Influence is the ability to change yourself and others.

When you’re wanting to use influence to make a positive difference, it’s about making the world a better place.

I want to share something that I read by Tim Gates, who’s a global motivation and change conference speaker.

He says:

“It seems to me that most codes of law, ethical principles and
spiritual texts all encourage, declare or command the influence of self and of others. Have you noticed that personal and societal development and progress are all governed by a process of influence?”

Elegant influence is about helping amplify what people truly want, overcome their limitations, and be the highest version of themselves.

So, how exactly do you use elegant influence in your content to attract clients?

In my latest video, I share:
‘The Art Of Elegant Influence: How To Create Content That Inspires Action’
You can check out the video here…

When you know how to use elegant influence to create compelling content.

3 Sneaky Content Mistakes That Could Be Tripping You Up

Content creation is an important part of a trust-building marketing strategy.

If you can’t seem to get your content to consistently engage people and convert followers into clients, it usually comes down to some sneaky mistakes that a lot of people don’t know about.

There are people out there head banging for the help you provide, but most of them currently can’t find you.

People with problems you can solve are wading through Facebook right now… and if you’re not jumping out to them.

It’s probably because your words aren’t crafted to be as compelling as they could be.

It’s not because you’re not awesome, it’s because your content isn’t grabbing and keeping their attention.

Your word choice has the ability to produce a flick of the finger, or a pause and consume.

“Tiny tweaks make big leaps“

If you want to attract new clients fast, learning how to create compelling content is a priority.

If you’re using online events as a lead generation strategy which is what I recommend for most coaches and experts.

It’s really hard to get people to those events without compelling content that invites them to it.

Compelling content strategically grows your audience, it attracts your ideal clients and inspires the right people to buy from you.

And you can do it in a way that FEELS good to you.

In this video, I share:
3 Sneaky Content Mistakes That Could Be Tripping You Up

You can check out the video here…

Here’s the 3 mistakes that could be tripping you up…

1. You don’t have a well-thought-out content strategy

If you don’t have a strategy, it can actually add to peoples overwhelm and confusion.

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say there’s a guy called Carl and Carl likes to go for a walk around his block every day.

He does the exact same journey – turns left out of his block, then right until the next street, then left etc. He remains safe and within close distance to home.

Sally on the other hand, is spontaneous. Sally loves stepping out of her house with no plan, no direction and following her nose.

She loves finding new places. She often gets lost but she loves the thrill of it.

Neither of these are right or wrong.

Are you more of a Cautious Carl or Spontaneous Sally?

If you’re like Cautious Carl in your content, you’re probably staying safe and predictable.

You probably aren’t ever rocking the boat, you’re probably not trying new things, you’re probably sticking to just one type of content and it could be becoming a bit boring.

You’re probably blending in.

If you’re like Spontaneous Sally in your content, you’re probably doing all different types of content and sharing lots of different topics.

You might be trying the latest trends, using Tik Tok or Reels or Clubhouse or Instagram stories,

You probably post when you’re inspired but have gaps. You might be fun to watch, but your audience can’t fully rely on you to deliver consistent reliable value.

You don’t want your content marketing to become monotonous (like Carl)…

…And, if you have no strategy in place, like Sally, you’ll probably be overwhelmed and frustrated without direction.

But what if Carl and Sally each used a map?

A map allows you to see where you are, where you want to go, and the best way to get there…

…And, that’s why you need a solid content strategy.

2. You’re Not Creating Enough Curiosity

I say this all the time because it will never stop being true…

The main job of your marketing content is to create curiosity.

If you’re not creating a feeling of curiosity for your reader or viewer, they will scroll away.

Giving away valuable content for free is the name of the game; but you can’t “give away the farm” as they say, and leave nothing to be desired.

So what do we do instead?

I call it the Void-Value dance.

This is where you highlight a void.

You tell them all about a problem they have, showing then that you understand that problem completely and intimately – because you used to have the same problem.

Then you give them some value to solve it.

But there’s a second important step. You then open up a NEW void.

Value-void – value-void – value-void.

It’s like opening a new door to a new problem.

3. You’re Not Inspiring Action

A lot of people don’t have the ability to inspire action with their follower.

I call this being elegantly influential.

I did a whole free training video on this last week where I gave my 5 best tips on being elegantly influential. You can go back and check it out.

To be really practical here – something I see a lot is that people don’t add the right kind of Call To Action.

The Call To Action is where the magic happens.

An effective Call To Action provides your reader or viewer with the next best logical step.

A lot of people try to rush the process from cold to hot and don’t think about where someone is in their client’s journey.

If there’s one key point I want you to take away, it’s this…

When you know how to create compelling content, your marketing becomes easier, faster, and more enjoyable, and you show up with more confidence.

You connect better with your ideal clients and you attract more of the right people into your business that you can help.

The good news is, you don’t need a ton of content. You just need to find the juice – the words that will have people salivating about what you have to offer.

Take care my friends and remember –

The world needs you.

How To Have A Winning Business Quarter

Happy new quarter, the final quarter of 2022!

What does having a winning quarter mean to you?

Maybe it’s your impact. How many people you are going to help?

Maybe it’s launching or FINISHING a project.

What if this is your quarter to finish something?

Or to finally start the thing you have been putting off?

I invite you to think about one, two, or three things you want to focus on in quarter four.

In my community we focus on setting 3 BIG PROJECTS for the quarter such as running a masterclass, launching a new website, launching a new program, creating a new funnel and so on.

Then we set the action steps and milestones for each of the 3 projects.

In this video, I share:

  • The ‘Whats-Good Snapshot’, so you can capture and celebrate what went well, including examples

  • The ‘Growth Reflection’ process to take the learnings and lessons from last quarter and make sure they’re not wasted

  • The ‘Feel-Good Future’ to help you plan an epic quarter ahead

You can check out the video here…

How To Create A Winning Business Quarter

The 5 Step Winning Quarter Framework

The What’s-Good Snapshot

Wins from last quarter…

Why you are proud of them…

What are you confident about right now?

What are you enjoying?

What are you grateful for?

What have you learned?

The Growth Reflection

What aspects of your business frustrated you last quarter?

What not working or feels out of alignment that you want to change?

What difference will it make to your business to change it?

The Reframe Method

Imagine carrying the problems you wrote down into the next quarter…

Why is that a problem?

In order to feel overwhelmed or stressed, what must you be believing?

In order to feel calm and in control, what must you believe instead?

Based on all of that, what actions will you choose instead?

The Reframe Statement:

Even though (circumstances)…

I choose (response)…

The Feel-Good Future

Vision | What do you want for the year ahead?

Focus | What do you want for the quarter ahead?

Money | How much money do you want to earn this quarter?

Meaning | Why is your work important? Who does it affect? Why does it matter?

What are your 3 Big Quarterly Projects?

P.S Want all the behind-the-scenes training with exactly how to do each step, with all of my templates, all the training resources, and support to get booked out with amazing clients and consistently have 5-figure months?

Behind The Scenes Of A 5-Figure Launch

Would you like to know how to have a 5-Figure launch every time you need more money and clients?

For the last 6 years, I’ve been using a launch strategy that consistently produces between $10k and $20k each time.

And I want to share it with you so you can see what’s possible for you in your business when you have a reliable launch strategy.

I used to struggle to believe that it would be possible for me to make 5-figures in one launch.

And by launch, I mean a campaign where you sell your offer using a specific strategy.

I wanted a reliable system for signing up clients whenever I needed them, without burning myself out, without burning my list, and without coming across like a douchy salesperson.

I knew the strategy had to be elegant, it had to be simple, and it had to be effective.

Over the last 18 years in business, I’ve discovered there are 3 main problems business owners have when it comes to generating consistent cashflow.

1. Not enough leads – If you can’t attract leads, you end up with a small audience where hardly anyone is paying attention or engaging.

2. Low sales conversions – If you can’t convert leads into clients, we end up with no sales. No sales = no cashflow = no fun.

3. Unscalability – If you can’t get clients in a leveraged way, you end up exhausted and burnt out or stuck at the same level.

So let’s go BEHIND THE SCENES of my latest launch so I can show you how to overcome these 3 problems in your business.

I’m going to give you the juicy details of how to do it including a 5-step framework you can use to sign up 5-10 clients in just one launch.

In this video, I share:

  • A 5-step framework you can use to sign up 5 or more clients in less than a week
  • How to create curiosity, intrigue, and the belief that your offer is exactly what they need
  • The key elements to include in your marketing to create a frenzy of response

You can check out the video here…

Here’s the 5-step framework…

1. Give Value Consistently

There’s a proverb that says ‘Tend an orchard and you’ll have fruit to eat’.

If you’re going to make an offer to your audience, you need to make sure you’ve given plenty of value first.

If you’re stuck on being consistent with giving value, I recommend that you go back to your coaching notes and study your ideal client and give them exactly what they want.

If you don’t get this first piece right, this strategy is not going to work for you.

2. Create An Irrefusable Offer

You need to install the belief that your offer is exactly what they need.

We do this by overcoming all potential resistance through the offer.

Choose ONE type of person that your offer is for based on an urgent problem they have that you can solve and their desired outcome.

There are 7 things I recommend that go into your offer. You can read about them here: How To Create An Irrefusable Offer

3. Create A Valuable Conversion Event

A conversion event is where you teach valuable content, then extend an invitation for them to continue to work with you.

For most people, I recommend an online Masterclass or Workshop for this, of 1-2 hours.

What is valuable?

Satisfied + hungry for more.

5. Learn & Tweak, Rinse & Repeat

  • Give yourself feedback
  • Get vulnerable and ask for feedback
  • Make the necessary changes

You can rinse and repeat this regularly, e.g. every month, 2 months, or quarter.

Give it your absolute all with loads of value. If you do this, you’ll get referrals, and testimonials, and you can extend a further invitation to the people who sign up.

This is a high-level snapshot that’s part of the client attraction roadmap that I teach my clients to get fully booked with clients and make $10k or more every month.

It’s simple, but it’s not easy. Every element needs to be in place for this to work.

Want all the behind-the-scenes training with exactly how to do each step, with all of my templates, all the training, and resources so you can get booked out with amazing clients and consistently have $10-$20k launches?

I’d love to get to know you and see if you’re a fit for the program.

So DM me the word ‘CLIENTS’ and I’ll get you the details.

Until next time, keep showing up and sharing your message because the world needs it.

Big love, see you soon

7 Big Mistakes Amateur Presenters Make

Do you want to show up as your best when you’re presenting?

But do you ever get on camera and suddenly feel like your authentic self is buried under a ball of nerves?

Or you feel like your audience hasn’t been as engaged and responsive as you hoped?

Having delivered thousands of presentations, each one getting more precise and clearer on what works and what doesn’t…

…I’ve discovered that there are 7 core mistakes that people make when it comes to presenting.

These little-known mistakes can make or break your presentations when it comes to getting engagement and building trust.

These are fatal, often undetected mistakes that people make in their presentations.

I’ll show you how to avoid them.

Instead of wondering why your presentations aren’t successfully engaging people.

Converting viewers into leads and clients…

…you’ll never have to worry about fumbling your words and not being able to communicate your value effectively.

What that means is that you’ll be able to show up confidently.

Relaxed and present, and use your presentations as a powerful client-converting asset.

What that ultimately means is that you’ll consistently have a waiting list of clients wanting to work with you.

In this video I share 7 big mistakes amateur presenters make.

You can check out the video here…

The 7 mistakes I’ve found amateurs make when presenting:

1 – Showing up with low confidence

Over the years I’ve discovered that there are 4 main fears that kill confidence.

  1. A fear of failure – getting it wrong, looking silly, looking incompetent
  2. A fear of rejection – that people won’t like what we say
  3. A fear of loss of security – feeling unsafe, uncertain, insecure
  4. A fear of criticism – The fear of what people think of us, a fear of judgment, which can stop us from sharing authentically what’s on our heart.

Most of us have at least one of those fears. All these fears can be total dream-killers!

These fears stop us from stepping up as the leader and the influencer we were born to be.

My biggest fear was fear of failure. Specifically, feeling incompetent. It held me back for years from presenting.

If we want to accelerate our business growth, the trust people have in you, and how fast you get clients, you need to show up confidently.

I want to help women to show up powerfully and confidently.

We need to do whatever it takes to build ourselves up.

2 – Focusing Too Much on Themselves
If you’re nervous, focus on service.

When you’re speaking to people, the more you think about yourself, the more you’ll feel fear because you’re thinking about looking good and avoiding looking bad

I believe we all have a message to bring forth and a mission to fulfill on this planet.

Focus on the change you can help someone make in their life.

One thing that really helped me, was when someone said to me – “every day that you are focusing on yourself, someone is suffering.”

Someone is actually struggling right now because they have a problem that you can help them solve.

You know enough to help someone solve a problem.

If you have a smartphone, you can get on there in an instant and help provide solutions for people.

It’s ok if not everyone resonates with what you say. It doesn’t matter – it’s about the people that can be helped.

Turn the focus away from yourself and onto focusing on the value you can offer people.

That’s how you grow your business.

3–Failing to use Influence skills

Influence skills are essential if we want to help people have a breakthrough and improve their life.

The reason I have such a strong conviction around influence is that others went all in on their conviction. They influenced me to invest in education which gave me freedom.

When I was broke and struggling, people showed what’s possible for me and didn’t give up on me having a breakthrough.

It gave me my freedom.

Other people going ALL IN on their convictions to help me imparted to me a conviction and life has never been the same again

I will not give up on you because you matter. No one deserves to suffer. I don’t want anyone to be crippled by confusion.

When others ask me if I did all I could to help them, I can say YES.

I’ll do whatever I can to influence them elegantly. Not in a convincing or pushy way, but in a way that they can have a breakthrough.

4 – Not Valuing Their Expertise Enough

Remember to prize Yourself

You’re not a charity. You’re an expert in your field and you deserve to show up worthy of that.

We need to value the money and time we’ve invested in our craft and skills.

So many people get stuck in comparison.

You need to value your skills and knowledge.

A lot of you have unconscious competence and you forget how valuable your stories and experiences are.

You are the prize!

5 – Underwhelming or overwhelming

Underwhelming is boring and fluffy.

Overwhelming is jam-packing so much in that people can’t absorb it or take action on it.

When you get this right in the sweetspot – it’s valuable.

Value is what gets someone to take an action.

Value also means spending time practicing, thinking through what is going to be really useful for people.

Value is not squeezing as much content as humanly possible.

Amateurs try and teach everything they know.

Professionals leave voids to create in the audience a hunger for more.

I once heard someone say that if you squeeze in the content, you squeeze the audience out!

6 – Being Unprofessional

We all know that we need to be professional, but what does that look like?

Being professional means:

  • Having a nice quiet environment and making sure your audio is good and clear with no background noise
  • Making sure that you’ve got a good lighting system
  • Setting your computer or tablet up at eye level
  • Making sure you start on time
  • Ensuring you have nice professional PowerPoints, if you’re using slides
  • Practicing your talk before you deliver it

All of this is part of being professional.

This doesn’t mean you can’t be personable though. It really helps to add humour and your personality and flavour.

Professionalism is not perfectionism. It’s about giving the most value while still being yourself.

7 – Speaking Without Structure

People want organised knowledge.

You don’t want to just give people a whole heap of content or information and leave people to figure out what to do.

You want to make it digestible and palatable for them, by breaking it down into steps or pillars.

The best speakers in the world have organised the information into a structure.

If you think that they’re just winging it and speaking intuitively, believe me – they’re not.

People have a fear that structure is boring and restrictive.

Talking so that YOU enjoy it? Or the audience enjoys it?

That’s why I use frameworks. It allows you to put your superpower in – your message.

3 reasons why structure is so important:

1. People actually get the message

2. People start using your words

3. People sign up

Structure helps you to amplify your influence

The world isn’t looking for perfect presenters. Imperfect presenters can still make a significant impact. This is why I’m dedicated to helping women to become great presenters.

If you want to move people with your message, create real change and grow a truly influential business.

Presenting is such an important skill set to add to your business.
