The Ultimate End-of-Year Reflection

As the year wraps up, reflecting on the past year offers a moment of appreciation and acknowledgment of the significance of the personal journey you’ve been on.

This is an opportunity to honour the unique path you’ve travelled and the person you’ve become along the way.

In my final video for the year, I shared a process to reflect on the year, and a guided meditation to imagine your ultimate year next year.

You can watch the video here

As you consider the experiences that have shaped you this year, there are both highs and lows with growth and wisdom that you can glean from.

I created a guided process called ‘The Ultimate End Of Year Reflection Guide’ with a reflective practice, a closed-eye journey, and intentional questions to help you:

  • Celebrate your wins
  • Acknowledge the challenges and lessons
  • Extract the juicy wisdom you want to carry into next year.

Want the guide?

You can download it here

Tips for recalling the highlights of the year

To help with your reflection, connect with people who’ve journeyed closely with you this year. They may remind you of your growth in ways you haven’t noticed.

Revisit photos, videos, or voice messages from earlier this year to see how far you’ve come.

A Powerful Reframe

As you reflect, it’s natural to recognise moments that didn’t unfold as expected.

There are probably things left undone, unsaid, or still on your to-do list – things you thought you’d accomplish this year but didn’t.

Acknowledging these moments with kindness allows us to gain wisdom. If you didn’t hit every goal, sometimes all we need to do is move the goalposts.

A client recently shared that she hadn’t made as much progress as she’d hoped. We had to dig deeper to realise that growth isn’t always visible above the surface.

Like a tree, the deeper the roots, the stronger the foundation.

In business, it takes time to build these foundations—things like websites, funnels, content, and marketing campaigns don’t pay off immediately.

There’s often a lag before you see the results. But if you keep going, they will come. The key is to keep going until it works.

Here’s a powerful reframe statement you can use:

“Even though (circumstances), I choose (response)”

Remember, your journey is unfolding — and your potential is limitless.

Visualise your ultimate year

Take a moment to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and imagine yourself a year from now in the fulfilment of your ultimate year.

See yourself living with purpose, achieving your goals, and thoroughly enjoying the journey.

There are plenty of clichés about creating your best year yet, but I invite you to imagine: what if next year could truly be your most fulfilling year yet?

Think about what it would take for that to be your reality.

It’s possible – because of the intentions you set, the goals you pursue, and the actions you take to achieve what you truly want.

With gratitude and belief in your journey,
Kat xo

AI vs. Human-Centred Content Creation & Finding Your Voice

Recently someone dumped a whole lot of Chat GPT jargon into my DM’s.

It was full of words like ‘Your passion for helping others has truly shone through and is commendable. Your journey is inspiring, and your dedication to your work and personal principles is admirable. It’s a privilege to witness your continued success’.

It got me thinking.

We don’t talk like this to strangers in person. So why talk like a robot when you’re trying to build connection with someone online?

When I asked them what the purpose of the message was, they disappeared.

AI is incredible and it’s doing amazing things in the world. I’m grateful for it.

However, when it comes to content creation, overuse of AI can be damaging if we’re using it as a tool to prioritise efficiency over connection.

This can turn content creation into a ‘tick the box’ activity that we feel we ‘should’ do, rather than something we do because we have something valuable we want to share.

There are a whole heap of voices out there telling us that we need to do XYZ or we won’t make it in business. Like posting content every day on social media…

…then it can become a ‘tick the box’ activity that we feel we ‘should’ do… rather than something that we want to do because we have something valuable that we want to share.

If you want to create content that sounds less like AI and more like a human with a soul, in this video, I share:

‘AI vs. Human-Centred Content Creation & Finding Your Voice’

Here are 3 things to consider when it comes to human-centred content creation and finding your voice…

1. Start with a heart connection with the people you’re here to serve

ChatGPT can be a helpful tool that we can use to spark ideas and help give our thoughts structure and order.

But it can also come up with a whole heap of robotic words that don’t feel inspiring or human (because they’re not!).

Time efficiency has become one of the main goals pushed on us by companies operating in hyper-masculine ways, and the heart and soul are being drowned out.

Do you really want to run your business that way?

Content creation should always start with humans. Human relationships. Human feelings.

Because robots don’t have emotions.

People don’t buy from businesses, people buy from people. We can’t have human content without humans showing up with realness and aliveness.

AI doesn’t always help create connection; it actually often does the opposite.

As A.I usage online increases, so does the need and desire for true human connection, and speaking words created originally from your own soul to another’s.

Now is the time where it’s even more important than ever to be our authentic selves in our content.

We need the specificity of your human experiences and stories.

I don’t think you got into business to outsource your expression, creativity, experience, knowledge and brilliance to a robot.

We’re human around people we trust, and we do “marketing” when we think we have no option but to subscribe to the rigid ‘rules’ of business.

Which can suck the creativity and life out of us and make us sound nothing like ourselves.

2. Use structures to support you, not suppress you

In so many cases, it’s helpful to have a structure to follow, like a formula or template.

But I believe it’s also important to explore our relationship with the structures.

A structure can help us avoid writers’ block. It can help our writing to land better with people, and it can give us ideas to help us get more of our writing into the world.

But we need to be careful not to put structures on a pedestal, as though they’re the only way. And make ourselves wrong for not following them to the letter.

If a structure helps you, it’s a good thing – vs. if it restricts you, then it could be suffocating instead of supporting your creativity.

We can have both formula AND freedom.

We can have both a framework AND creativity.

We can have both structure AND flexibility.

I’m a big believer in the both.

It’s not about throwing away structure; having the structure often allows your feminine to flow.

But it’s important that we don’t allow structures to suppress our feminine creativity and expression.

3. Your voice is found by consistently creating content

The only way to “find” your unique voice is to regularly create content.

Your voice isn’t “out there”. It’s inside you.

The more you use AI to write for you, the more your voice gets drowned out and the less your authentic expression shines through.

And the more content you create, the more you find your unique voice.

The best creators are the ones who regularly create from their own brain, rather than relying heavily on AI.

The world needs your unique way of expressing yourself.

Your people need your words in the way that only you can express them.

You are a shining light – and your words can bring hope, help, and inspiration to the people you’re here to serve.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. How do you like to use AI?

Looking forward to seeing more of your creative expression online. 🙂

Much love,
Kat xo

Over-Teaching Kills Your Presentations. Here’s What To Do Instead…

Would you like to get more clients from your events?

There are a few keys I’ve discovered that have made a massive difference for me (and took me a long time to realise!)

When I first started running events, I shared incredible knowledge and gave so much value in my presentations.

The challenge was, I ended up over-teaching. I hadn’t learned how to design my presentation for both value AND conversion.

And then I was disappointed when I didn’t get clients.

My mentor kindly pointed out that I was leaving my audience FULL, not hungry.

I did this for yeeeears! And I didn’t realise that it was costing me – and the people I could have been helping.

The way to solve this is to provide amazing value that truly wows your audience, AND inspires the right people to buy. And you can absolutely do this without a cringey, pressure-filled sales pitch.

It’s a science and an art. I got to work learning how to hit the sweet spot in my presentations.

In this video, I share some of the insider secrets to keeping your audience hooked and the right people wanting more.

Engagement is such a crucial factor in running a successful event that people enjoy, offers value and inspires the right people to buy.

There is a strong connection between engagement and conversion.

If people don’t pay attention, it’s really hard to help them shift.

So, here are 3 ways to increase your engagement in your events:

1. Create Like A Coach

When you’re creating your presentation, think like a coach, who inspires and helps people. rather than a teacher.

Coaching is about helping and inspiring people, rather than overloading them with information. Great coaches think about transformation, not just information.

They ask powerful questions that get people thinking. By asking the right questions, you can help people get clarity and show them what to focus on.

It’s basically saying: “Here’s what I’ve struggled with and here’s what I’ve found helpful to solve it”.

Show people the reasons why they’re probably getting stuck. Help them to understand their specific gaps and blocks in the way of getting what they want.

Show them the mistakes that could be costing them and tools for how to avoid them.

Also, remember that people like to observe how you connect with people, not just how you share information. It gives them a taste of what it’s like to work with you.

And my personal favourite technique for engagement in your presentation is curiosity. Curiosity is the glue that sticks someone to your content.

Open loops in their mind to keep them leaning in. The best presenters will always keep their audience curious.

2. Use Well-thought-out Activities

Having activities throughout your presentation engages different parts of the brain. It helps people to start doing what they’re learning about.

Activities give people a sense of commitment and achievement.

Activities also create a sense of investment. This is one of Robert Caldini’s Principles of Influence – we feel compelled to be consistent with what we’ve said or done.

They’ve invested time and energy – so walking away without following through is harder.

People stay more engaged and pay attention and it makes your presentation less like a lecture and more like an experience.

3. Create Valuable Human Connection

People love to connect, so I suggest you set up your online event to encourage people to process and discuss the content.

This is why workshops are more effective and engaging than webinars. Because webinars by nature are typically someone talking at you.

Think about the difference between watching a video recording and attending a live event.

There’s a completely different energy and vibe.

Creating connection also encourages people to stay alert.

They ‘lean in’ to the content more because they know they’re going to discuss it.

Create a sense of community and belonging by making people feel part of a tribe they enjoy.

It also breaks up the monotony of sharing content and brings realness and aliveness.

Remember, people remember more about how you make them feel than the information you present.

This is part of my signature online events framework and one of the aspects I share about how to run successful online events that grow your business.

This Online Event Strategy Makes Me 5-Figures Every Time (Even With Less Than 30 People Attending)

Want to get more coaching clients using a reliable, predictable method?

Online events is my #1 recommendation.

An effective event an incredibly valuable asset you can use any time you want to get more clients.

This strategy gets me clients 3x faster than posting content on social media.

Running online events has enabled me to create a life of true fulfilment and freedom, amplify my message, accelerate my business success and help SO many people.

The best part is, you don’t need to be a professional or polished presenter to do this. It’s a skill that anyone can learn.

A lot of people tell me they are finding it hard to consistently grow their coaching business in a way that leverages their time.

Switching from sharing 1-to-1 to 1-to-many is something that can really solve that for you.

But most people have no idea how to run online events successfully.

In this video, I share what you need to consider before you launch your first or next online event so you’ll be well-set up for success.

There are 4 essential elements to consider before you launch your first or next online event to make sure you optimise every part of your event process make sure you’re set up for success.

1. Warm up

The warm up phase is where you warm up your audience and followers to develop trust and connection and increase the likelihood that people will sign up for your event.

You do this by sharing content and educating your audience.

If you suddenly announce that you have an event coming up and haven’t been posting regularly before that, you don’t usually have trust and rapport developed.

We do this by providing value through your content. In your content, educate, inspire, build curiosity and show them why what you teach is different.

The warm up phase is also designed to build a connection with your audience. People want to know that you’re relatable and you understand them, and that they can trust you with their time and attention.

2. Sign up

The sign up phase is where someone registers for your event. In order for people to sign up for your event there are certain important things that you need to have on your landing page and in your marketing campaign, which I’m sharing more at my upcoming workshop.

You check out the FREE Online Events workshop here

3. Show up

The show up phase is all about getting people to show up to your event.

We do this through a show-up campaign using emails, social media, SMS, and videos.

The show up phase has gotten trickier as more and more people start running events so it’s important to learn how to do this phase to get people into the room.

In the show up phase it’s not just “come to my event” – it’s sharing strategic content that shows the value of your event and what they’ll get out of it.

The content is designed to overcome people’s biggest objections.

4. Step up

The step up phase happens in the event itself, where you make an offer to your audience to step up and invest in themselves. Now this is where a lot of people freak out. And they make the mistake of neglecting putting time into doing this properly.

I understand that selling can feel scary. But the truth is, if you’ve provided value, and showed people how you can help them, you’re doing them a disservice not to show them how you can continue to support them to achieve their goals.

A certain percentage of the audience will recognise that they need help and support with it.

There is an elegant way that you can extend an invitation to people that converts 3x higher than the average conversion rate in our industry. This is a big part of what I teach people because it’s so important to get right if you want your events to lead to you getting clients.

There are so many benefits of having an online event:

  • You have a reliable system for growing your business where you attract clients, rather than chasing them
  • You increase your credibility, trust and positioning in people’s mind, and you stand out because you go to a place where a lot of your competitors aren’t willing to go
  • You make a bigger impact by helping more people
  • You massively leverage your time by speaking to groups and avoid time-consuming marketing methods of reaching out to people one by one or fighting with the noise on social media
  • You have a valuable asset that you can use to make money consistently and predictably

These benefits can be an absolute game-changer for you in your business.

If you want to get clients by running events following a proven framework, I have a free workshop coming up called ‘How To Grow Your Coaching Business With Online Events’

This Strategy Gets Me Clients 3x Faster Than Posting On Social Media

Would you like to fast-track the time it takes to get clients?

Do you want a predictable way of getting clients that you can rely on?

In my latest video, I shared the exact strategy I use to get clients at least 3x faster than posting on social media.

The best way to do this is by running an event and bringing together a community of like-minded people, speaking about what you love, and sharing your knowledge.

And enrolling multiple people at once into your program.

In this video, I share the strategy I use and how it can speed up how long it takes you to get clients by 300% or more.

I’ve analysed this method in comparison it to multiple other strategies over many years, and it always comes out on top.

It’s a predictable method of getting clients that you can rely on.

And the BEST way to do it, is by running online events.

You don’t need to be a professional or polished presenter to do this. Anyone can learn how to do this.

When you successfully implement this client-attraction method into your business, it allows you to rapidly get all the high-quality clients you want, without endlessly posting content, reaching out to strangers, or even doing any sales calls.

It’s by far the most effective strategy you can do to help more people, leverage your time, and have an asset you can use over and over for years to come.

If you don’t have an online event, there are 4 main problems you’ll probably face.

1. Using only time-consuming methods

If you’re not running events, you really need to rely on time consuming methods, like networking or constantly posting, and that can be exhausting, unreliable and SLOW.

There are so many ways of attracting clients and a lot of people get overwhelmed. So, I like to make things super simple.

There are only 3 parts to getting clients – I call these the ABC’s:

A – Attract

B – Build Trust

C – Convert

If you don’t have an event, you have to rely on endlessly posting content or other time-consuming methods.

You might be able to attract leads, but it’s very challenging to build trust and convert them into clients.

It’s very rare that someone will see a social media post and sign up with you right away.

A lot of coaches get this wrong. They try and fast-track the sales process on social media. This can end up putting people off because you’re selling before sufficient trust is developed.

Research shows that people need about 7 hours worth of time with someone before making a significant buying decision. So, if you’re creating social media posts that take one minute for someone to read, you have to do a lot of those posts in order to build up those 7 hours of trust.

So, you can do hundreds of 30 second reels or 1 minute posts to get clients, which would take you many month, or you can get them in one event.

How many people have you found that actually transfer money into your bank account because they saw one of your social posts?

Getting clients through content alone requires a lot of time and it’s tedious. It’s also not an effective way to get your audience to a place of decision, because there’s not enough time and trust built through content alone.

Nothing converts leads into clients as well as events.

If you want to get that level of conviction and conversion using your content you have to be a really world-class copywriter.

Having an event rapidly increases the speed of conversion – spending time with you in a private room away from the noise of social media means people are focused only on the event.

People choose you over other options because they have trust in you because of the time they’ve spent with you.

2. You don’t build enough credibility and trust

Not enough people know who you are and how good you are. You become the best-kept secret.

You know you’re good at what you do, but not enough people see it yet.

You have wisdom, knowledge, experience, skills that are valuable.

If you don’t have an event, only your 1-on-1 clients really get to experience that brilliance.

And if no one knows who you are, it’s like you’re sitting on a gold mine that not enough people can access.

When you have an effective event, you create instant positioning.

You create credibility, authority and trust. You position yourself as the expert, go-to person in your ideal client’s mind.

3. You don’t have a reliable system

If you don’t have a reliable system for attracting clients, you have to chase people – not attract them.

You feel like you’re that pushy salesperson that you don’t want to be.

There are strategies people recommend like sending 100 messages a day to people on Facebook.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to chase people. It’s not fun.

You don’t have to constantly sell your offer or your strategy session via socials or DM’s.

With an event, you have a predictable way of signing clients that you can rely on.

Because I run events regularly, I know that I will sign clients because all my events are scheduled in the year and I know that I’m going to make at least 5 figures each time.

4. You leave money on the table…

You could be just one event away from earning 5-figures.

You have certainty around knowing clients are coming and a system of consistency.

You have an asset that sets you up for ongoing, consistent success. It’s a game-changer.

If you’re willing to run online events (even if you don’t currently know how), you’ll create an incredibly valuable asset.

It allows you to leverage your time, be seen as an expert, and predictably enrol multiple people at once.

When you have an effective event…

… you massively leverage your time

… you create credibility and trust fast

… you have a system to sign up clients whenever you want them

… you make reliable money

… you start to attract and sign up ongoing, quality clients on ‘repeat’ and sell out your offers & get booked out fast.

If you want to know exactly how to do this, I’m running a FREE workshop called ‘How To Grow Your Coaching Business With Online Events’.
