Reflections of 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, it’s a beautiful opportunity to reflect and reset.

How do you like to process the year that’s passed?

I’ve been reflecting on highlights of my year as I’ve been scrolling through my camera roll, flicking through journal entries and revisting notes on my phone.

It’s amazing how these little reminders bring back moments that might’ve slipped through the cracks.

What’s your favourite way to reflect on the year?

Here are some of my highlights:

Professional Growth

This year, my word for the year was leadership, and here’s how I worked on it:

* I enlisted the support of facilitators and guest speakers during a 3-week break from my business to get married and enjoy my honeymoon – giving myself the space to step back while still supporting my community.

* I was deeply honoured to receive two awards—one for impact and one for excellence. Both were such a rewarding and unexpected surprise.

* I hit record numbers for the women I supported in our Inner Circle Community, and also increased my annual revenue by 49.5% (despite taking a big holiday – woohoo!)

* I shared 108 Instagram posts, 49 blog posts, 160+ videos, ran 13 workshops and 48 Mastermind group sessions, and sent 144 business emails.

It’s been worthwhile to keep track of these activities. It can be easy to forget all the single actions that have made up our business year and is a great reminder of how all the small steps add up over time.

Personal Growth

* On a personal note, getting married and moving in with Tim were life-changing moments that brought so much joy and gratitude. It’s truly a dream come true, and I’m so thankful for his unwavering support, both personally and in my business. We’re beyond excited for what’s ahead in our journey together!

* I did 121 strength training sessions and 116 cardio sessions. Though these numbers are lower than in past years, I’m still proud of staying consistent with my workouts despite it being the busiest year of my life.

* I holidayed at Shoal Bay, Hunter Valley, NZ, Fiji, Caves Beach, and we also had several guests over. It was so fulfilling and one of my priorities for 2025 is more adventures and connection with loved ones.

Reflecting on the year

If you haven’t already checked out my guided process ‘The Ultimate End Of Year Reflection Guide’ it has reflective questions to help you:

• Celebrate your wins

• Acknowledge the challenges and lessons

• Extract the juicy wisdom you want to carry into next year.

You can download the End-of-Year Reflection Guide here

As you close out the year, here are some of the question prompts for you to consider:

* Who are you proud of being this year?

* What challenges are you proud of overcoming?

* How did you grow as a person this year?

* What are some specific skills you developed this year?

* Where did you have the most joy and fulfilment?

* What is the most important lesson you want to take into next year?

Share the love

If my content has been helpful for you, I’d be so grateful if you shared it with a friend or tag me on social media. Invite them to sign up for my newsletter or tag them in my social media posts.

It means so much to have your support in growing this community. Please tag me when you share so I can personally thank you! ????

What’s next?

Next month, I’ll be sharing my 2025 focus and some tips for setting meaningful goals.

Thank you for being part of this journey. It’s an absolute honour to connect with you and support your growth.

If we’re not already connected…

I’d love to keep in touch and support you there too.

Wishing you a wonderful end-of-year celebration! ????

Here’s to a joy-filled, impactful, and fulfilling new year ahead!

How To End the Year Strong & Start the New Year Ready

How To End the Year Strong & Start the New Year Ready

Want to finish the year well with no regrets?

Wondering how to make the most of these last few weeks of the year?

In this video, I share practical, actionable steps to finish the year strong and set yourself up for success in the new year.

There are 3 big mistakes that a lot of business owners make at the end of the year that can seriously set you back.

Mistake #1: Taking your foot off the accelerator too early

I know it’s tempting to ease off the accelerator and switch to cruise control as the year winds down.

Often people around us are getting into holiday mode and the desire to take it easy, relax, and celebrate can be a strong pull.

But letting go too soon can cause you to miss valuable opportunities to finish outstanding tasks, complete projects, and set yourself up for momentum in the new year.

It’s also easy at this time of year to focus on what’s going on for us personally – maybe Christmas shopping, buying gifts, planning parties and meals, getting ready for the holidays etc.

It can be a full-on season.

But letting go of business tasks too soon can cause us to miss valuable opportunities to finish outstanding tasks, complete projects, and set ourselves up for momentum in the new year.

If you relate to that tension –here are some helpful questions to consider:

If you slow down now in your business, are you happy with your reasons?

And will you be happy with that decision in the future?

Or would you rather finish the year knowing you’ve done everything possible to close out strong and with a sense of deep satisfaction?

Your potential clients still have pressing needs right now, and you can tap into those needs by continuing to share relevant, valuable content.

So many people are still thinking about what they need help with.

Problems don’t go on holiday. People are still struggling and need help.

And people are still buying.

So don’t miss the opportunity to reach out, share your expertise, and even sign up new clients in this season.

Mistake #2: Not looking after your existing clients well

Do your current clients still need your support?

If the answer is yes, make sure you’re there for them.

A lot of business owners constantly focus so much of their time and attention on attracting new clients.

But the reality is that repeat clients are often your most valuable asset.

They are the ones who already trust you and believe in you.

If you want loyal clients that you continue to work with and support, make sure you’re there for them and don’t neglect checking in and finding out what they need.

Mistake #3: Not setting up your marketing plan for next year

In other words, not finishing this year with a plan for not just your first week back, but your first campaign and a marketing planner for the whole of next year.

If you don’t start thinking about your marketing for next year, you risk missing out on potential clients in the coming months.

It’s a huge mistake because it can leave you with an empty pipeline as the new year begins, and it’ll be hard to regain momentum once you return from your holiday.

If you’ve spent any part of this year kind of confused, scattered, and unsure about what to focus on – it’s probably because you didn’t have a clear plan.

The good news is, you don’t have to let that happen. You can create a marketing plan that generates leads, the creates momentum, and keeps clients coming in consistently.

This is a crucial time: Get this right, and you can end the year strong and start the year ready.

You can access ‘The Yearly Marketing Calendar’ here

The Secret To Messaging That Sells The Transformation, Not The Journey

A big mistake that a lot of coaches make with their content is sharing ‘behind the door’ content upfront.

The challenge with this is that it can overwhelm your audience before they’re even ready to dive in.

When you share too much too soon, it can leave people feeling confused, unsure of where to start, or like they need to know everything before taking action.

Instead of attracting them, it can unintentionally push them away.

People need to understand why they should care about your content and how it can help them before you dive into the details.

‘Front-of-door’ marketing is content that sparks curiosity, speaks to their deepest desires and ultimately attracts more clients.

In my latest video, I revealed how to flip the script and focus on ‘front-of-door’ marketing to attract more of the right clients.

I shared exactly how to identify which content belongs at the ‘Front of Door’, and how to position it in a way that draws your ideal clients in and gets them excited for the next step.

You can watch the video here

Front of Door: The Sexy Stuff

This is the face of your marketing. It focuses on outcomes, desires, and dreams, appealing to the emotions and aspirations of your audience. It’s all about what they want, not necessarily what they need to do to get there.

It’s not about the details just yet – it’s about painting the vision of what they’ll achieve.

This means that we need to ‘dress the door’ so that people want to come in.

Key elements of Front-of-Door content:

  • Benefits-focused: Show them how their life will improve.
    Highlight the transformation they’ll experience.
  • Simple, clear language: Keep it accessible and easy to digest.
  • Exciting promises: People love things to be faster, easier, and to get more of what they enjoy.

Share the outcome they’re craving, the transformation they’ll experience, and why your solution is the key to their success. This is the stuff that gets them excited and ready to step inside the door to learn more.

Once they’re through the door, that’s when you can share the deeper, more complex content – everything from your method to the specific steps they’ll need to take.

Behind the Door: The Unsexy Essentials

This is where you deliver on the promises made upfront. It’s the work, the systems, and the steps required to achieve the outcomes.

It’s less glamorous, but it’s vital for delivering results and building credibility.

Behind the door content focuses on:

  • The method (how-to and process)
  • Necessary details and complexity
  • Expert-driven content that builds capability

It’s the technical steps, the nitty-gritty that your clients need to succeed – but it’s not what they’re initially looking for. Think of it as the “work” that happens after they’ve already committed.

This distinction will help you attract your ideal audience with compelling language upfront while reserving the details and methods for when they’re engaged in your services.

Why This Matters

  1. Clarity in Messaging: Your audience decides quickly whether you’re the right fit. Front-of-Door messaging grabs attention; Behind-the-Door content builds trust.
  2. Positioning Expertise: By showcasing results upfront and methodology later, you avoid overwhelming potential clients while demonstrating depth.
  3. Aligned Conversions: People buy the dream. Once they commit, they’re ready to invest in the nitty-gritty.

A lot of people understand this concept intellectually, but find it hard to separate method from outcome. Because quite honestly, it can be really challenging to separate those two.

So I’ll give you some examples.

Examples:

Behind the Door Content (for a business owner):

  • Learn SEO optimisation
  • Understand technical know-how
  • Manage the back-end of marketing funnels
  • Learn how to sell
  • Implement digital systems
  • Track, test, and measure
  • Manage finances and budgets

Front of Door Content (for a business owner):

  • Attract more clients effortlessly
  • Make more money while working less
  • Create a business you truly love
  • Build a thriving brand
  • Enjoy your marketing
  • Create a bigger impact in people’s lives
  • Have more lifestyle and time freedom

Practical Tips for Applying This Framework

  1. Front of Door: Use in all of your marketing content online, in your landing pages and funnels, on your website, social media, and when you’re talking to people about your business.
  2. Behind the Door: Incorporate into your courses, coaching calls, and post-sale onboarding. Dive into the “how” and the details.
  3. Balance the Two: Remember, the goal is to create a seamless journey between both of these.
Over-deliver on the Back-Door content to exceed the expectations set at the front.
  4. When you master the Front of Door vs. Behind the Door approach, you can attract the right audience, excite them about what’s possible, and then deliver the transformational results they signed up for.

Need help with this?

If we haven’t worked together before, I’m offering a FREE content makeover for the first 3 people who

I’ll review your content and provide actionable tips to make it more outcome-focused and compelling.

P.S. If you’d like the worksheet to help you implement this strategy I’ll send it to you if you

I hope this helps, and I’m excited to hear how you’re going to apply this approach in your business!

Kat xo

Your Coaching Business Will Become Easy Once These 4 Things Are Solved

Do you feel like you’re working hard in your coaching business but not seeing the results you want?

Are you tired of putting in endless hours and wondering why it’s not paying off?

What if the secret to making your coaching business easier isn’t about working harder, but about solving just a few key problems?

Over the past 8 years, I’ve helped thousands of coaches attract more clients, accelerate their results, and grow thriving businesses.

And through this experience, I’ve discovered that success comes down to solving just 4 key areas.

So, what are these four key areas every coach needs to solve?

1. An Effective Strategy

Success isn’t about working harder; it’s about effectively prioritising your time, energy, and resources.

One of the biggest challenges coaches face is not knowing what to do next.

They don’t have an effective strategy when it comes to marketing and sales and it’s costing them big time.

With a clear strategy, you’ll know what to focus on. The key is in directing your efforts towards activities that give you the highest return.

For example – you can create pieces of content, or you can create a marketing campaign.

You can just jump on a sales call, or you can have a process of exactly how to structure that conversation so that it converts.

2. A Specific Ideal Client

You probably already know that your work is not for everyone.

But one of the most common challenges coaches face is a lack of specificity when it comes to identifying their ideal client.

There’s a big difference between what people think is specific and what is actually specific.

You might feel like you know your ideal client, but how deeply do you really know them?

Consider this: Your “ideal client” from a year ago – or even three months ago – might not be your ideal client anymore.

Maybe it’s time to raise your standards for who you’ll work with. This means saying no to clients who aren’t the right fit.

I know the idea of narrowing your focus might feel a bit intimidating. You might worry: “If I focus on just one type of client, am I excluding potential clients?”

But here’s the truth: having a clear, ideal client doesn’t limit your business – it expands it.

It means your content and offers feel tailor-made for them. It’s like sitting across the table from a friend who truly gets you.

Imagine how much more impactful your messaging becomes when you’re speaking their language, addressing their unique pain points, and offering the exact solutions they need.

3. The Ability to Communicate Your Value

Not being able to clearly articulate your value is likely costing you more than you realise.

One of the most powerful elements in marketing and sales is having a crystal-clear understanding of who your ideal clients are.

Once you define who you work with, you naturally repel the wrong fit and attract the right ones.

When your message speaks directly to their specific needs and desires, they think, “Wow, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!”

It feels tailored to them, and that it’s exactly the experience they want.

By honing this messaging, you’ll start drawing in more of your ideal clients.

You get better at doing it, and you get higher percentage success rates.

Over time, as you refine your approach, your success rate with these clients increases.

4. The Ability to Stay Focused

One of the most crucial responsibilities you have as a coach is prioritising your time, energy, money, and effort toward what matters most.

This is where an effective strategy comes into play: it directs your focus to the actions that will bring the greatest results.

It’s not just about doing more; it’s about doing what works.

It’s human nature to avoid the hard stuff: easy tasks feel productive, but they can lead to procrastination on what truly creates business growth.

Coaches who struggle often waste time on low-priority tasks, avoiding the hard, high-reward ones.

The most successful coaches focus on high-return activities that offer financial, time, and emotional rewards.

By focusing on just four key areas, you can rapidly accelerate your business.

If there’s a skill gap, learn it fast or outsource it.

Prioritise what truly moves your business forward and examine the unnecessary or ‘nice-to-do’ tasks.

Constantly evaluate your business activities and ask: Does this align with my goals? If not, delete or delay it.

These are the four things every coach needs to make their business easier to manage and significantly more profitable.

You can significantly increase the speed of execution when you know exactly what to focus on.

Getting clients consistently will no longer feel like a struggle, because you’ll be focused on the things that truly matter.

P.S.: Whenever you’re ready… here are 4 other ways I can help you grow your business:

1. Work with me to get more clients

If you’d like to work directly with me to get more clients… send me a Message with the word “Clients”… tell me a little about your business and what you’d like to work on together, and I’ll get you all the details.

4 Signature Content Pieces Every Coach Needs To Sell Their Coaching Offer

Do you want to convert your audience into paying clients?

If you’ve ever felt stuck trying to figure out how to turn your audience into paying clients – or wondered what type of content actually works to generate leads and sales – this is for you.

In this video, I walk you through four powerful types of content that will not only activate your audience, but also help you sell your coaching offer with elegance and confidence.

The secret to selling your coaching offer starts with priming your audience first.

In order to sell your offer, you need to have content that does this.

Selling without these content pieces is like trying to light a fire with wet wood. You can strike the match and work as hard as you want, but without properly preparing the wood to ignite, it’s going to take a lot of effort – and you’ll likely be left frustrated with very little to show for it.

These content pieces are the kindling and logs that prime your audience. They prepare your audience’s interest and build a steady, slow-burning foundation so that when you finally strike the match (with your offer), it catches.

Without them, you’re trying to spark interest in an audience that isn’t ready to catch fire, no matter how good your offer is.

Here are the 4 signature content pieces every coach needs to sell their coaching offer:

1. Belief-Shifting Content

If people aren’t taking action on your content, there’s one thing you can do that will change that. It’s to shift beliefs.

If people need what you offer and have the resources to buy it, there’s typically only one reason they’re not responding to your content or reaching out to work with you.

It’s because they don’t yet believe they can get the result that you offer.

That’s why we need to shift beliefs using our content.

This is such an important type of content that every coach needs to have in their content strategy.

Belief-shifting content is one of the most powerful pieces of content you can create.

It’s so much more powerful and effective than just teaching someone and just giving information away.

It’s about creating breakthroughs – those “a-ha” moments that make your audience see their challenges differently.

So, What Is Belief-Shifting Content?

It’s content that shifts someone’s belief – their perception, their way of thinking about

– the cause of their problem, what they’re currently doing to solve their problem and the beliefs that sit underneath that, and what they need to do to solve their problem.

Every offer has specific beliefs your audience needs to believe before they’re ready to buy.

For example, if you’re a mindset coach, your audience might need to believe they can change their thought patterns.

Because if they have false or limiting believe those things, then you don’t have a chance at selling them your program.

So, in our content, we give them an insight as to what actually causes that problem from your experience and expertise.

It’s usually different from what THEY think is causing the problem.

After that we go into a belief-shifting process.

Learning how to do this is a game-changer.

I’m sharing my signature Framework for how to do it my upcoming retreat and we’re doing it together.

You can check it out and get your free pass here

2. Hand-Raising Post

This a post where you invite your audience to raise their hand, metaphorically speaking, by offering them something valuable – a free resource, tool, or guide that directly speaks to their needs or desires.

Hand-Raising Posts are an absolute lead-generating powerhouse, and when they’re done right, they can transform how you connect with your audience.

They’re designed to leverage social media algorithms to increase your visibility.

When people engage with the post — it signals to the platform that your content is valuable, so it pushes it out to even more people.

That creates a ripple effect, drawing more eyes to your post and, most importantly, attracting the right people to you.

The magic of this type of post is that it not only increases engagement but also helps you quickly identify warm leads – people who are interested in what you’re offering and are more likely to convert into paying clients.

Maybe you’ve seen these types of posts before, but here’s the thing: a lot of people do them wrong. They might pick a resource that’s too generic or write their post in a way that doesn’t resonate. When that happens, the post doesn’t land, and they don’t see the results they’re hoping for.

But when it’s done correctly, the results can be incredible. You can get dozens of leads very quickly, all while creating buzz and excitement around your offer.

The key to making this work lies in two things:

  1. Picking the Right Resource: The resource you offer should be highly relevant to your ideal clients and solve a problem they care about. It needs to feel irresistible—like a no-brainer for them to engage with your post.

  2. Crafting the Right Message: The way you name and frame the resource is critical. It’s not just about saying, “Hey, want this?”—you need to connect it to their pain points and show them the value they’ll get from it.

The best part? It’s simple to execute once you know the formula.

If you want to learn how to do this the most effective way and create posts that generate leads, I’ll be breaking it all down step-by-step at the Content Retreat.

3. Turning point story

This isn’t just any story. It’s a carefully crafted narrative that builds trust, creates an emotional connection with your audience, and inspires them to take action.

While many stories can build connection and trust, your Turning Point Story is all about demonstrating a transformation.

Why does this matter so much? Because your audience needs to see themselves in your journey.

Whether it’s a struggle you overcame, a breakthrough moment, or a pivotal decision that changed your path, your story becomes a mirror for your audience. It shows them what’s possible for their own lives – and that’s incredibly powerful.

4. The Elegant Invitation

This is the moment where everything comes together.

Even the most incredible content won’t convert if you don’t invite your audience to work with you.

Think of this as building a bridge between where your audience is now and where they want to be.

Your invitation shows them how your coaching offer is the vehicle that can take them to their desired transformation.

What makes the Elegant Invitation so powerful is that it’s not about being pushy, salesy, or manipulative.

We do it in a way that’s elegant and effective.

And the best part is, you can do it in a way that feels aligned, effective, and completely true to who you are.

At the Content Retreat, I’ll be walking you through my signature Elegant Invitation Framework. You’ll learn exactly how to craft an invitation that feels natural, compelling, and completely irresistible to your ideal clients.

So – do you want to do it together, get help and support with it, and walk away with it done?

I’m getting our Inner Circle community together this week on Zoom for a VIP Virtual Content Retreat.

We’re going to be creating these 4 pieces of content together.

If you’re a coach and you don’t have priming content, your business needs this.

I’m not running this Content retreat again for at least 6 months, potentially even 12 months.

So don’t wait – come to the event and get equipped with the content you need to get clients.
