If you don’t know what to fix, it’s really hard to fix it. So, the first step, which applies to all change, is awareness.
Let’s firstly look at where the problem might lie.
How To Identify What To Fix…
If you don’t yet have all the clients you want in your business, there are usually only 3 reasons why.
1. Don’t know, not doing
You don’t know what to do, so you’re not doing it. You’re doing something else, because you don’t know what to focus on
2. Know, but not doing
You know what to do, but you’re not doing it.
Probably because you’re busy and have other things going on right now, or it could be a mindset block, like fear of rejection, success, judgment or getting it wrong.
3. Doing it, but not doing it well
You’re doing the right things, but maybe you haven’t been professionally trained and mentored in how to do it effectively so it works.
Most coaches I meet are amazing at coaching, but they haven’t been professionally mentored in sales and marketing.
Which means the sales and marketing they’re doing is not effective enough.
What a lot of people do in this category, is think that what they’re doing is the wrong thing – and so they go and try something different…
…rather than continuing to improve on what they’re doing.
If you’re doing the right things in the wrong way, we need to keep doing those things, but change how we’re doing them.
Rather than getting distracted and thinking the answer lies over there somewhere.
There are a lot of things we can be doing in our businesses every day.
There is a lot of information online that can be super distracting.
So, what ARE the things we need to be doing and how do we make them effective so we get results?
How do we know what to choose what to focus on?
Let’s simplify it.
When it comes to client attraction, which is something that I’ve been doing for 20 years, I’ve realised that you actually only need 3 things.
It took me a lot of years to realise how simple it is, because I use to over-complicate things.
But thankfully, I finally learned how to strip things back to what works.
So here are the 3 fundamentals of client attraction.
I call them the ABC’s.
Attract
Build trust
Convert
Every day, when you sit down to your computer, think of these 3 ABC’s and ask yourself
1. What am I doing TODAY to attract leads?
2. What am I doing TODAY to build trust with those leads?
Also known as nurturing – looking after people who are potential clients.
3. What am I doing TODAY to convert leads into clients?
The challenge is knowing how to do each of these 3 things well, so that all 3 of them work together and have clients signing up to work with you.
In my recent workshops, the biggest epiphany people said they had was that they were wasting time doing the wrong things, or they were doing the right things, but they still weren’t working.
