Do you ever wonder how to make your content more engaging?⠀
Do you get discouraged when you go to a lot of effort to craft a post and it hardly gets noticed?
I’m with you. It can feel so disheartening and such a waste of time. I’ve felt this so many times and it’s left me thinking “What was the point?!”
There are lots of reasons why your content may not be engaging people but often it’s because there’s a major piece missing that makes a MASSIVE difference in engagement.
It’s a simple tweak you can make that breaks down resistance in people’s minds and changes the way they perceive you. It’s an easy fix, but so many people miss it.
The world’s most successful people have one thing in common: they’ve mastered the ability to produce the results they desire most.
Limiting beliefs can keep you small and stuck, but they don’t have to. You can drop those beliefs with just a little bit of awareness, and live the life you were meant to live. Your brain is a wonderful tool, so let it work for you, and ditch these beliefs that will keep you from your success.
- They believe they’re not ready
Waiting for permission
I’m not sure where we get this idea that someone needs to tell us it’s ok to position ourselves as an expert in our topic.
A lot of people think that people run events because they have authority.
That’s not how it works
Cart before the horse
You need a business plan
They believe they need to have success before they put themselves on a platform. It doesn’t work that way
Horse before the cart
They don’t wait to be selected. Successful people believe they can select themselves.
“Once upon a time most people had to wait: to be accepted, to get funded, to be promoted–to somehow be ‘discovered,'” writes Shah. “Not anymore…. You can do almost anything you have the desire and skills and drive to do; you don’t need to wait for someone else to discover your talents. You get to discover yourself. The only thing holding you back is your willingness to take the leap and try.”
Ownership is one of the most important beliefs in business. The good thing about taking ownership.
Blame – bla blab la me
Good news – When you take responsibility, you can fully celebrate your victories!

New belief – you’re ready already
Type it in the chatbox “I’m ready already”
- They believe they can figure things out on their own
It’s easy to think – I am alone, shipwrecked on a desert island needing to have all the answers myself.
It is tempting to think that running an online business is a solo venture. After all, we sit for hours oftentimes by ourselves, building and communicating through a computer screen. It feels isolating, but at the same time, a lot of people think that it’s the only way…that being “self-employed” means spending most of your time by yourself.
I promise you, nothing could be further from the truth! “Self-employed” simply means being your own boss…and guess what? The best corporate bosses in the world actually seek out contact with others—their peers, colleagues and employees. That’s how they learn what’s working and what’s not in the way they run their company.
The business owners I know who are thriving, myself included, have mentors they trust and can turn to again and again.
My mentors held me to a higher standard
New belief – No one succeeds without a mentor
- They believe they can succeed with just a few hours a day
Ridiculous work ethic
Will Smith said, “I’ve never viewed myself as particularly talented. Where I excel is ridiculous, sickening work ethic.
There’s no easy way around it. No matter how talented you are, your talent is going to fail you if you’re not skilled. If you don’t work really hard and dedicate yourself to being better every single day, won’t make it”
“I wake up in the morning thinking – today I want to be the best investor in the world.”
If I was working in someone’s company, what would I have been fired for?
9 times out of 10 it’s laziness.
There is NO WAY I would ever be fired from my company.
The very first purchase you make is the most comfortable office chair possible. They’re about $1100 each. But you’ll spend a ridiculous amount of time in it. This is the device!
Your worthiness issues vanish when you know you work hard for something
There’s a reality to putting in effort of 8 hours a day and you make great money, eventually your self worth problems disappear and no one can make you feel like you don’t deserve success.
Eventually you can reduce the effort and still continue to have success, but you have to do the effort first to show your brain that you’ve earned it.
NEW BELIEF – My work ethic is unfireable
When you believe
- You’re ready already
- No one succeeds on their own
- My work ethic is unfireable
