Rae’s fitness journey
What can I say: if it had not been for Kat I truly believe I would have not achieved my goals to date. I have lost 20 kilo’s and have a wonderful eating plan that makes me feel fantastic. Thanks to Kat I understand finally “energy in and energy out”.
My initial goals were around well-being, strength and fitness, expanding my interests and meeting other people. The weight loss was just a by-product of what I wanted to achieve.
I understand portion control and the value of good food. Nothing beats the feeling of being in control of my eating. Knowing that what I put into my body is going to determine how I feel, what I will look like and how it will affect me. I now have the knowledge to make considered decisions around food.
Women generally don’t invest in ourselves enough and tend to nurture and invest our time in others. Kat nurtured me through this journey. When I look back it wasn’t hard at all. My weekly sessions with Kat would put me back on track if I strayed (and I did!). There were no recriminations but a conversation on why. That was enough for me to get back into it.
I have also been overwhelmed by people at work who have been inspired by my journey. I never thought that would happen!
Oh and I can now carry my gas bottle wherever I want to!
